The last part was the most important.
Cool video! if you mix it by hand and you're not doing like thousands of square feet of tile. It lasts longer and takes longer to fire off or go off. That look like Mapei regular sanded. The more you mix it with a drill the more air gets in it in the pasture fires off. Also always put water in the bucket before the grout.
Always water before grout, cement or thin set imo saves the bottom of the bucket from crustysss
@@LogosFarm You are 100% correct, not just saving the bucket. But you're supposed to add water first because it makes it easier for mixing. You always wanna go from wet to dry. So you're never beating up your drill. And also using the correct drill. People try to use regular drills and it just Burns them out. Over time. a proper mixing drill should be set in its own 5 gallon bucket of water. And that bucket is the mixing bucket. For your mixing station. After you're done, mixing the spindle and drill together sit there.
If you clean the grout off too quick it can pull grout out of your joints too. I still don't know the perfect method but letting it dry bit first makes it harder to clean the face of the tile but it makes it less likely that i am going to butcher my grout lines
First of all, you open the bag at the wrong side that's a big no-no
i never use dirty pales especialy with white dark grout not as bad but still i mix by hand doesnt set up as fast
Also , you should always mix by hand , you ensure a longer lasting grout and you definitely need to remix after that first 5 minute mark just don't add any more water
You hold that float on a 45 angle and it cleans the tile of and leaves less grout on the surface for when you swirl

Man, everybody and their grandmother, they all know how to grout tile the hard way, like this.
I'm looking for an easier way. For instance, how about a grout gun? No b.s.
The problem is the clean-up. When you spread grout all over your tile, you then need to clean it all up, tile by tile sometimes.
Instead, you whip out, "my grout gun," and only apply as needed. ©️
What if there's not enough grout in the lines and it's dry? How can it be fixed?
And you're mixing high which creates air bubbles and now, when you smear your grout, you're gonna have pinholes everywhere which is a fucking nightmare. You're mixing in a 5 gallon bucket you're not making that much grout to grout the floor, a small gallon bucket would do the trick and yes, make it thick and let that shit set up so you have nice full joints.
I waited too long to wipe the grout and now having a really hard time tearing it off the tile. Is there any way i can remove the grout without much effort? Some sort of chemical?
Vinegar and water solution. It’ll will get that and the haze off 🤙🏽🤙🏽
Never grout like this! You swirl the grout back and forth through the lines packing it in that way. This is literally the worst way to do it

The mixer is a fail. The back of the back says not to use a mixer
Actually my bag say to use a mixer on low speed(350rpm) for 4-5 minutes, even shows it in the picture steps. I have that same bag.
NEVER MIX GROUT WITH A MIXER

Read the bag, says do not use a mixer. The grout will set up much quicker
Dealing with it now. Grout dried onto tile and getting it off with soap and sander has been rough

You are using way to much grout per square footage. You're gonna end up changing out your water more times because you are gonna be cleaning so much up. If you are new at tile don't do what this guy is doing , use a smaller amount at a time , you will be limiting the amount of time it takes to clean and your job will actually go by faster
USE SPEC SHEET!!!! NEVER MIX BY EYE!!!!!!
