I played in the Cardinals minor league system back during the 2002-2003 years. Seeing his work ethic in the weight room and how he carried himself was special to watch. He was much younger then but you could tell he took his job seriously and wanted to make the most out of his God given abilities. Great to see this now. Nothing but respect for Pujols!

I was there to witness this. His last HR in Bush stadium and his farewell ceremony. As a kid from 93 that grew up watching him play from his same neighborhood, I remember sitting on the bleachers next to his ex-wife Deidre and son AJ during the MLB off-season and watching him hit bombs in our local softball field… (Los Cerros de Buena Vista)… then he signed me a baseball and took a pic with me and the other kids… This day was one of the best memories of my life ⚾️ 🇩🇴

I’m 44. I’ve seen so much of Albert’s Cardinals’ career but just enough of his Angels’ career to know he didn’t have a chance at reaching 700 homers. Even in early August I held that belief. Here we are today and not only has he gone past 700 but now he has tied Ruth in RBI. It feels so good to be so wrong. Pujols never ceases to amaze.

He's still got a lot of history to show. Just wish more fans were a little bit risky and decided to maybe tell Albert he should come back for 1 more run...Think if he hit 30 in 2023, then he's just 23 from Hank Aaron for 2nd and 31 from Bonds for #1 all time..He's only making $2.5 million this year and might donate it to charity...I hope he takes the minimum again and puts on another show for the fans 👌
