- Remember Pumps? Not the women's shoe style...the sneaker you could inflate like a balloon with a sole. What I'd like to know is, did they actually give your feet good support, or where they just really comfortably tight and secure around your feet?

I had a few pairs of pumps when I was young, about 8 or 9. What I remember is they worked pretty nicely for a little while, but they'd lose their support (from pumping them) pretty quickly after that. I can't say if they actually really supported the foot, but I do remember them being nice and tight, heh. Oh yea, and the fucking pump ALWAYS ripped within a few months and that was it.
Damn. What did you do in them to f them up?
I've got vintage pairs that are 30 years old and they're holding up great. The pumps work better than today's retros.

Que de souvenirs ! J' ai 44 piges, quand j' avais 8-9 ans dans la cours de récré, certains avait cette toute nouvelle paire de pump 😮 j' était comme un fou, mais pour mes parents c'etait hors budget. Maintenant j' essaie de me racheter une de ces paire. Un plaisir de revoir cette publicité foot Locker 👍😆❤️❤️❤️
I had a pair when I was a kid. Thought they were Nike though. Crazy how you can remember things wrong.
Vance Beggar actually Nike did have pump. It was on Nike Air Flight high top. The pump on the side though
David Robinson had nike pumps. They went higher on the ankle and the pump, was on the ankle

I remember this commercial like it was yesterday, one of my favorite sneakers of all time. I literally wore them to the sole.

I don't remember nor would I have cared about support, I was just a kid and wore them on the street to be cool. I remember they just got nice and tight around my foot as I'd pump them up
i never knew what kind of support or comfort they had i was stuck wearing k-mart shoes

To be fair, Catapault brand sneakers are dope. I got two pairs at K-Mart and loved them.
I had the kmart brand pumps. They were ok I suppose.
As a person who is only from the 2000s i actually have a pair of these shoes and they're awesome some stuff from the 80s/90s is cool 👍

Reebok, we deserve the real pump system and real hexalite from the 90' in the new generations of pump !!! I still have my first pump, 30 years later the system still works perfectly and 100 times better than the new pump ! We all feel betrayed

i had black blue reebok pump basketball high tops orange basketball on black toung. My friends had tennis one yellow tennis ball pump low top one had the cross trainer one too back in the 90s they were cool.
Yep i watched many a friend pump up there shoes while trying to dunk.
I had a pair of the AXT teal the ones at the beginning best pair of trainers ever.impossible to get now as teal version only released in 1990

I had a pair of reeboks in the 1990s with a large rubber basketball on the tongue ( not pumps, it didn't inflate) I have never been able to find out what they were
Everlast did a clone but they didn't last long. I think Reebok got on their backs. I had a pair. They were crap.
