- I play a Magic the Gathering Online Legacy league with Bant Invisible Stalker, a brew around MKM's Proft's Eidetic Memory from Patreon subscriber Guy Fury! Invisible Stalker was a menace in its limited and standard formats. It doesn't take much to get a game over when you start buffing an unblockable, hexproof creature. this channel plays the most unhinged decks imaginable, today's deck was tame compared to some other ones. This is what I signed up for!
which is interesting because when I subbed several years ago Brian was more locked in and focused on playing for the most part top tier decks, at least that is what my memory tells me, I could have simply forgor.
this channel does sometimes play super unhinged decks, but I wouldn’t consider this one to be anywhere near some of the other stuff I’ve seen the good mr coval play
@@ToastedWaffles_ I think a big thing is that people just aren't super interested in watching him jam the meta decks over and over. He definitely does play meta stuff, particularly when it's tournament season, and I really like those videos, but it'd get kinda boring if every day was beans or rescaminator over and over.
Match 1 Game 2 was winable if you keep the two Uros from the Sylvan Lib play Uro for 3 life, going to 4, draw the misty, put the misty into play. Then fetch and fetch, going to 2 and then play the 2nd Uro and go up to 5 again, bounce the 2nd Uro with Karakas. This with you have 7 lands next turn and can play Uro - Bounce - Uro for 6 life, winning the race.
Right? I heard "The second Uro isn't helpful" and thought I was crazy.
Glad I’m not the only one to see it. Even if he just had 1 he could been alive 1 extra turn at least

He kinda mentions it at 2:10 by saying 3 mana is probably too much mana
"Fun-blockable". Amazing. I remember getting back into MtG around the time of Core Set 2013 and really liking Invisible Stalker and Geist of Saint Traft. I was like "oooo, threats I can load up auras on." I now realize why those cards are not very good for what I would consider healthy gameplay patterns. Still great to see it come out every now and then.

17:50 you can play uro, draw the fetch off the top and put it in off the etb, which gives you enough mana to fetch with both lands and recast uro after returning it off karakas. this also lets your library see 3 completely fresh cards on the following turn. you lose uro with this line, but it guarantees that you live that turn and lets you see a lot more cards than just shuffling a ponder.

This deck got me thinking... Stoneforge + sword package for the guaranteed sword hits w/Invisible Stalker?
Basically this is a "combo" control deck. Really sweet. Would love to see other iterations of it, including with Geist. Seems like a Modern version could work well too.

This channel has taught me that the Bant shell is good enough that you can throw in any random 8 cards to the package and it’s still very strong.
This type of deck is actually really cool imo. It's a slower version of Bogles, but without the bricky aura half of the deck and instead replaced with draw spells.

This looks like a hella fun deck. Big fan of Invisible stalker. Can never find an adequate home for it. These games were a lot of fun to see.
The new Jitte from Thunderjunction I think would be good here as it allows for permanent growth on Stalker and the ability to represent removal/counters.
We learned that bowmaster beats drawing lots of cards.

If you kept two of the Profs, Brainstorm and a land, you could’ve just dropped two Profs, drop the land, Brainstorm. By this point you have drawn 10 cards (draw step, 2 Library, 2 Ring, 3 Brainstorm, 1 Prof, 1 Prof). Then in combat, put 2 times 10
Counters on Stalker. Attack. GG.

I was playing Proft's in Grixis and UR tempo; it felt sooo good when it worked 😅 I guess Hexproof makes sure it works more often, at the cost of playing worse cards, of course.

How would you feel about shifting the fetches towards green and shoving a Dryad Arbor in? I felt like they were a few places where Proft's was whiffing where it could've been loading up a fetchable creature.
Does anyone remember what was this deck called when it used Troll Ascetic, Geist of Saint Traft and Spectral Flight 10 years ago? I know there was a separate name from "bogles" for the legacy bant version.
To your point about SFM, would the new jitte be good to run in that deck if it comes to fruition?

I'm surprised to see shadowspear in the deck. I feel like there are better options if you're wanting lifelink. For example, Staggering insight seems great (+1/+1, lifelink, curiosity for WU).
The unblockable creatures feel quite anemic without eidetic memory, I wonder if in the future lorescale coatl will get powercrept and add more synergy to decks similar to this one. List's sweet though.
I'm tired but not sure if I'm missing something with why you put the Prismatic Endings back round 1 game 1, don't they get rid of the Fury tokens?
The Fury tokens are token copies of a creature, so they have the full mana cost of Fury (that is, 5).
What cards are different between Blue/Black scam and Blue/Black rescaminator?? 51:19
Rescaminator implies that you also reanimate big fattys like grisslebrand, atraxa, or like archon for example, pure scam does not run those, I believe
Rescaminator will also usually run some number of Entomb and Animate Dead to find Griselbrand and Atraxa. Scam replaces those for more Scam style effects.

I think Shadowspear is the worst card in this deck. Without Urza’s Saga I just don’t think it’s worth it and ended up losing you a game

Double blue pips and 3 mana are both legit costs to your curve consistency. I'd think you'd, at least, cut the colorless Wastelands. Your curve would also be a bit high, which means you might want to consider cutting Uro for more interaction.
Hexproof and unblockable are functionally protection outside of niche cases (Shadowspear activation is the only one I can think of).
Your clock doesn't really change if you have Proft's. So it does raise the floor a bit, though you aren't dead without Profts, as Uro is a finisher.
I dunno. I think one in place of Silhana makes a lot of sense but you're essentially trading curve consistency with lack of Proft/Uro consistency. I think cantrips, especially with Library, find Proft enough that I'd stick with Stalker
