I came here from Dark Side Of The Ring Chris Colt episode
Me too didn't know Chris Colt before then
Ayy me too! What an absolute madman Chris Colt!
I had the album
🤝👊
I came here from the Muppets Alice Cooper episode😊
Best Concert ever: Not just an adventure to his music; but a theatrical performance, which nobody supplies! Double your enjoyment!
Always loved the band but never got to see them… a true loss for me
I had a terrible nightmare last night, on my way to work this morning this song played on my local rock radio station.
😊😊😊
Dreams are free so are nightmares welcome to my nightmare deluxe edition 🎭
That's almost exactly what Happened to Stevie Ray!
@@noisepollution6761 z of Utah hey in
@@bartbejarano172 sound of a should get an award for mental health awareness ⛳
By far the most theatrical band, great concerts ever held.
😴 no thanks
Music, magic, and a classic entertainer
That’s saying a lot there little buddy.
I dunno, GWAR is pretty theatrical
Mothers of Invention too
Best use of brass in a rock song
Fuck you MAN! your a dam lier cause you know it's not😮
Still sounds like a funk song to me. I’m pop lockin right now!
Because Alice didn't hire clowns for his bands. Don't forget he kinda came up under Zappa. If you anything about Frank you know how hard he was to impress lol.
Alot of Alice's early sound was very funky. This can also be heard in parts on Billion Dollar Baby the album
This was the first LP I bought with my very own money when I was 14 years old! I still have it, and might spin it later! Halloween ain't Halloween without Alice Cooper!
My storry, are like yours, i was 15,,1977,,Bristol,, a meka for musik, in Denmark, at that time.
Cassette tape, in a basket,,,i chose, the Welcom to my nightmare tape.
19,.95 kr.,,,so fucking cheap.
last time I did anything right
at all
Another AWESOME SONG from my teenage years! ALICE COOPER is still KICKIN ASS today!!!
Sings really great as I got the song on repeat… Have you been to her concerts before?
@@michealrobinson6203it's a man
Welcome To My Nightmare is, by far and away, Alice Cooper's best album.
Good album. However, not his best. Billion, Schools out ect
@@roryaugustson581 You're only saying that because that was the original band. Alice has continued to put out great albums for nearly 50 years after the original band broke up.
Trash and schools out are better in my opinion welcome to my nightmare is still good though
Yes
bt far away? yopu re crazy... the band is the best of alice copper. The band and this first album without the band... from 1971 to 1975. Bt far is and away, is no more than an opinion. nillion dollar babies is better than this for me, for example, even schools out, but if there's a winner, it is not by far and away...
Thanks to my Mom and Dad for introducing me to this amazing album!!!
I have to thank my uncle J.D . He turned me on to aunt Alice
Cooper rocks
Saw the Welcome tour in Nashville Tennessee at age 14. Cool parents huh? First encounter with Alice was a year prior on Don Kirchners In Concert. Snake, loud guitars and long hair and I've been hooked since. 61st bday today and still loving the Nightmare
Maybe my favorite Alice song off my favorite Alice album. Still rocking 45 years later!
Yup...this gets me in the halloween mood!!!
The best thing about Alice is his voice. I think his studio performances are better than his live work simply because the studio work picks up his emotional (creepy?) intonations so much better than a live performance.
I first heard this song on The Muppet Show. Loved it!
I used to listen to this song with my dad all the time before he past and now that I listen to it now it brings me so much joy
💀🕸..righteous..!! You go grrl..🎸💀⚘
Awesome memory! Go pops!!!
Great music last for generations it's nice to see , I remember getting this album for Christmas in 1975 ;)
My first concert told mom and dad alive cooper was a religious singer. Got in deep dodo when I got home but I got to go with the neighbors at 13 yrs old
The Welcome to My Nightmare tour was the MOST incredible rock show ever! One of a kind never repeated. Magical time for me.
Happy Holidays m
Went over like a lead balloon huh..lol
I don't know if your parents are still alive, but if they are, they waiting for your kids to do the same thing to you. a parent's curse is the hope that you have kids just like you...
Well he did become a born again Christian soooo that's kinda religious
Total masterpiece song and album 🤘🎃🤘
I bought my first copy of this on a 8track! Yes I'm old! Now I just dail it up on CZcams. Music still holds up 50 yrs later!
Right here with you Lucifer my man. Yep, I'm quite familiar with the 8-track player as well as how to take apart the cartridge for internal repairs, how to splice tape, and then transferred all that knowledge to cassette when that came out. After that it's all bytes and bits and digital. Still, the music is the same!
I still have 8 tracks & a player in my garage!
I was privileged to see this concert at the Wembley Empire Pool in 1975. I bought the album straight after and I have played it to death since!
this is like one of the best songs ever
I wish people my age would like music like this, this song is legendary.
How old are you I'm 12 lol 😂
You have just stated the obvious..
1000s won't cos it not cool
Has to be one of the best albums of all time.
That's the BEST album I have ever heard
Perfect Halloween song.
One of the best album covers ever.
It's got a funky beat with a great horn section! Yet, It's so rock n' roll ! You got to Love Alice Cooper!
As a GIGANTIC BOC fan, does this album ever age?? It’s just as fresh to me as the Christmas Day that brother gave to me. It broke my mind and I’m not afraid to admit it. I still am a huge BOC fan, but there’s plenty of room in my heart for this album.
When I first got this album, I listened over and over again. Know every word and think it is masterpiece!
Digg deep kids!!!! Alice is a true master of continuation!!! I've see the coop over 50x all over the map! Own every album cd ever made....
Oh you do do you? Did you know Alice's first band/first records has with Marc Bolen of T-REX fame and David Bowey? When they were poor nobody's? Do you have those?
@@markbayless966 as a matter in fact I do, T-rex and Alice have made reference to each other in quite a bit of songs/ interviews back then...I have a huge collection of everything but the coop has always been my biggest collection!!! Even more than kiss!!! Lol!!!
@@markbayless966 Well there you go, smarty-pants.🥇
50x b.s.!
Love It To Death is absolutely amazing record. Not one bad song on there.
This man put his milestone in the history of rock music forever!
Loved this whole album since I was 9! Now that I'm almost f... _not 9_ anymore, I still love it, and this might still be the best album intro ever! Thank you, Alice! ^_^
Seen Alice many times live, the last time incredible with Nina Strauss!
I've been to many Cooper concerts and each one has been awesome...several different venues & even out of state concerts.....
Nita is back with Alice Cooper touring again 🤘🏻
Love those horns! This must be remastered because it sounds cleaner and clearer than my old vinyl record did.
@Karl Uppiano I agree
It's such a wonderfully campy Jim Henson sort of song. I love it. No wonder he did it on the Muppet Show.
This is the soundtrack of my teenage years!!!!
Welcome to the time when music was real !!!!
oldhead
I love the spiders and this song
Classic Alice and some great tunes the his shock factor in the music industry has made him infamous for many years now...love this vibe with this song.... sounds great....
My type of psychedelic rock music.
Always loved his voice & music & style...etc. :-) ♥
Great classic inspired by another classic... Riders on the storm is behind the corner.
There are two really good halloween records.
This and Frank zappas
The torture never stops 😈😎
Feel at home everytime I hear this song.
Waldorf: Where do you suppose he got the name Alice?
Statler: It's just a family name. He was named after a maiden uncle.
Every time I have a nightmare, this is the song I hear in my subconscious mind right before I fully awake. it wakes me up from a bad place in the dream and it also gives me a little push back to reality.. crazy but good all at the same time! Music has an amazing protective effect on the brain both subconsciously and consciously.
Yeah right
No it's not, stop making shit up.
Serve iggy like i know 🥳
Call it your "Dream Police"...
True l thought l loved his music but 59 now
I love the band Alice Cooper. They're really good and one of my favorites. 😊
Dick Wagner's guitar playing on this is just too good.
I think Alice was definitely influenced by Jim Morrison and his style of dramatic inflections in his voice. This track reminds me of the doors in slightly
Oh big time, big Doors vibes on this track. Love both catalogs!
Not just the vocals, but the keyboards too.
You do know that they were friends in life right ? If not now you and a bunch more know now lol…..
Immediate reaction on my part.
The way the drums hit in the beginning is very Doors like.
AS A MAJOR ALICE FAN I BELIEVE YOU SHOULD POST MORE ALICE COOPER VIDEOS I LOVE YOU FOREVER ALICE COOPER
Love Alice Cooper!!
Генеральный хит , гениальный диск гениального Алиса Купера !!! Брависсимо !!!
An absolute classic
Always play this around this time every year lol, not even on purpose such a classic. Can hear the doors style in the way he does the vocal inflections like jim, same w the keyboard sounding like ray. Such a classic
Alice Cooper Is The Best
Grojband did a reference of this song…it made that show all the more AWESOME ❤
Thanks for the memories Alice.
My dad is why I'm here and I'm glad the nightmare is real thanks to Alice Cooper
Скоро полвека, как я впервые прикоснулся к этому шедевру, но сегодня слушаю так же, как и тогда. А на моей полке стоят 10 лучших виниловых альбомов, и этот - среди них...
“Welcome to My Nightmare” (1975) was the centerpiece to Alice Cooper’s* 1975 tour, which opened with this song and set the stage for the macabre scenes that followed. Cooper approached the tune as a production number, and that’s how he interpreted it. For the tour, the musicians were hidden in the back of the stage while Alice performed with various dancers and props. He would emerge in a haze of smoke, singing this on a bed. The rest of the show was based on the idea that the spectators were seeing his nightmares brought to life.
Any meaning in the piece is up to the listener, as Alice explained : “I project images to the audience and they make up their own story to fit it. I have no message at all. I never did.”
In 1975, Cooper turned the stage show into a concert motion picture titled “Alice Cooper : Welcome to My Nightmare,” and a TV film called “The Nightmare.” The famous horror movie actor Vincent Price played “The Spirit of the Nightmare,” narrating the spectacle. The picture was a precursor to long-form music videos, as it was a theatrical production set to music. 💙🎤💛🎬💚
* Alice Cooper’s birth name is Vincent Damon Furnier.
Very well explained Marie. It was definitely Alice coopers most ambitious and theatrical tour ever. He always set the benchmark for live shows. The magic screen in particular was incredible
@@laurencelevene4333 Thank you for this kind feedback, Laurence. Best regards to you.

Alice Cooper is more glam rock than metal.
Got here via a best of metal playlist.
This was the first Alice album I bought. Before that, I only knew them from Wayne’s World. At first listen, I was disappointed that this wasn’t as heavy as I thought. By fourth listen, I realized how amazing he was. This was all in the same day.
Great classic song, most excellent video production....Kudos RHINO!
It's annoyingly stuck in my head....
It's not the worst song to be stuck with, but I've been waking up humming it....
I saw this show on acid with Suzi Quatro opening .. What an awesome and trippy night
Holy shit that must have been incredible! So jealous
I was 16 when this album came out. I bought it for the hit track, "Only Women Bleed" I remember laughing everyday I played it for the concept album it was. Vincent Price on the album was like the cherry on the cake.
I also love the version when Alice made an appearance on The Muppets Halloween Special.
Sailing the boat in a strong current towards rocks and this song was played while I was struggling with oar, motor and sails full power.
Ghost hates his fans
Imagine Jake and Elwood tracking down Murph and the Magictones at the Holiday Inn, just to hear them playing this. It’s so jazzy and groovy, you could almost imagine it in a hotel lounge. But boy. What an edge.
Perfect song this morning.
Knew a kid named Mike that has the spider from the album cover tattooed on his arm. He worked for a plumbing company that we used at the townhouses where I worked. Very cool kid, Hi Mike where ever you are!!!!! Tim from Roseville Townhouses here!!!!! Keep playing that sitar man!!!!!!!
Great song.
What a great song and the band was awesome.
This is one of my favorite Alice Cooper songs of all times. ❤ Steve, my ex boyfriend visited the asylum where I currently reside now.
My introduction to Rock n Roll
Such a classic great song.....

Listening to all his songs for the next week cause I'm going to my first concert of him next week! (It's Saturday!, next Friday at 8 is when it is!)

Went to my first Alice Cooper concert at 66 years old along with my 36 year old son. Alice at 75 years old and his band was amazing!

It was my first "lp" I bought in 1974 I was 13 yrs old still have it
Me Too!!!
Me and my mate loved this album rock on alice
I remember we're I was when I first heard this ,I was only a child ,n still like this at 60
Shot himself in the foot appearing on "The Muppets." Alice Cooper had GnR open for him when "Appetite..." was just released in 1987,not famous yet. Faster Pussycat opened entire concert, more punk than glam metal, back when it wasn't cool. 11 yr old me was blown away! Alice Cooper had an amazing show himself, very wild theatrics!
this whole album is awesome❤️✌🏽
I love this video. I wish there were more songs done like this for CZcams.
Just got a love the Cooper
This is my #1 Alice song 😊
MASTERPIECE
