What is the TIF® procedure?

This video shows how a TIF® procedure, or transoral incisionless fundoplication, is performed for patients suffering with reflux.
This is the 'endoscopic version' of the traditional fundoplication, meaning it is minimally invasive, requires no incisions (and therefore no scarring) and has a faster discharge and recovery time for patients.
Patients who would be best for this procedure is any patient who suffers from reflux, does not respond to anti-reflux medication (such as PPIs) or does not wish to take them long-term AND would prefer not to have an invasive (keyhole) surgery, like a LINX or fundoplication.
