  • Today we got even 2 more female pitchers throwing for MLB scouts.
Whitney Summers is a 5'2 109 pound lefty who has a five pitch arsenal that consists of a Vulcan Changeup (72-76 MPH), Curveball with some lateral movement(69-74 MPH) , Slider(76-80 MPH), "Running Fastball" or a more aggresive 2 seamer(82-86 MPH), and a Screwball(69-74 MPH). Summers is perdominantly a control pitcher. Sense she doesn't have the velocity to blow batters away, she relys on percision to get outs. She can get the strike out or two if needed due to her superb accuracy. Summers was always underestimated by her peers, including the girls on the freshmen softball team. However she persevered and now has a real opportunity to be selected in the draft.
Floor: Career Double AA reliever or High A starter
Ceiling: Zack Grenkie level talent with less velocity
Gabby Silver is a 5'10 198 pound righty who has a three pitch arsenal that consists of a Power Knuckleball(71-75 MPH), 4 Seamer(97-100+ MPH), and a Split Finger(90-94 MPH). Silver was gifted from a young age. Many have said she had the strength of a 6'6 man. She is the prototypical power pitcher who uses her "stuff" and overwhelming velocity to get outs. What makes her unique is that she can throw a 70 MPH knuckleball and she can control it to the point of being playable in pro ball. Even throwing out the Knuckleball she can get outs with her fastball and splitter combo due to the movement of those two pitches. With the arsenal that she has as well as being a power pitcher it is recommened that she is used as a high-leverage reliever rather than a starter.
Floor: Low-Leverage reliever in Triple AAA
    Ceiling: Eric Gagne
