mgk has been getting more recognition lately but i feel like he's still severely underrated, especially as a rapper. i feel like ppl only know a couple of his most popular and mainstream songs and forget than he can actually rap, not to mention he's been in the game for more than 10 years.

he definitely had talent and made some really great music but the fact is he became extremely entitled to something he hadnt earned, got more and more angry about it and decided to attack the wrong person and then after suffering some serious blows in a rap beef he decided instead of dragging his half beat ass off the ground and trying to fight back he started just riding some uninformed conclusion that he won the rap beef between him and eminem and it just made alot of people lose respect for him as a rap artist based on how he handled that situation. I used to love him as a rap artist and was stoked to see them having a rap beef but he pussied out and lost alot of respect for that.
Be careful with lyric videos. That one was either slowed or audio was distorted from the original. Probably to beat copywrite claims. But yeah, listen to an HD version or something after.

To be fair to Twista, he's never been a technical rapper kinda guy. He's more of a speed rap version of Pac when his verses are more about content then delivery
Stevie it's funny cause just the other day I replied to someone in the comments section of the Worldwide Choppers song who was talking about how amazing Twista was. So I compared him to Tech and pretty much said the same thing as you just did about Twista vs Tech. Like yeah Twista can rap fast and he's a solid lyricist, but Tech can do almost anything Twista can do but takes it to a whole different level with the verse structures, flow, cadence, and overall vocal talent(he just has the perfect rap voice) as well. No disrespect to Twista, he's not bad... Tech just has extra levels of creativity and talent that almost nobody in the genre can touch. Who else is coming up with flows and cadence/rhyme patterns that good on a consistent basis other than Em and a few others? It's a shame more people don't have Tech in their top top 5 dead or alive. Shit I barely even see people putting him in their top 10. He's in my top 5 EASILY, I don't care what anyone says. His talent is right up there with anyone in the industry who's ever done it, and he actually has the longevity, humbleness, realness, creativeness(mixing other genres like hard rock and metal into his music) etc to go with it. He has all of the accolades, gets love from all of the mainstream greats, and has a cult following without getting help from major record labels. Like he said it before, he got blackballed by the industry over dumb shit so he created HIS OWN empire in the zoo. And he's still going as strong as ever even in 2020 releasing fire ass albums/songs/features. How many other rappers have been in the game for like 25 years, stayed real the whole time and never succumb to relying on trends/gimmicks to stay hot, and on top of all of that just keeps getting even better and more popular as time goes on? I really don't get why so many people don't put his name up there with the all time greats. He easily deserves it.

Stevie it's funny cause just the other day I replied to someone in the comments section of the Worldwide Choppers song who was talking about how amazing Twista was. So I compared him to Tech and pretty much said the same thing as you just did about Twista vs Tech. Like yeah Twista can rap fast and he's a solid lyricist, but Tech can do almost anything Twista can do but takes it to a whole different level with the verse structures, flow, cadence, and overall vocal talent(he just has the perfect rap voice) as well. No disrespect to Twista, he's not bad... Tech just has extra levels of creativity and talent that almost nobody in the genre can touch. Who else is coming up with flows and cadence/rhyme patterns that good on a consistent basis other than Em and a few others?
It's a shame more people don't have Tech in their top top 5 dead or alive. Shit I barely even see people putting him in their top 10. He's in my top 5 EASILY, I don't care what anyone says. His talent is right up there with anyone in the industry who's ever done it, and he actually has the longevity, humbleness, realness, creativeness(mixing other genres like hard rock and metal into his music) etc to go with it. He has all of the accolades, gets love from all of the mainstream greats, and has a cult following without getting help from major record labels. Like he said it before, he got blackballed by the industry over dumb shit so he created HIS OWN empire in the zoo. And he's still going as strong as ever even in 2020 releasing fire ass albums/songs/features.
How many other rappers have been in the game for like 25 years, stayed real the whole time and never succumb to relying on trends/gimmicks to stay hot, and on top of all of that just keeps getting even better and more popular as time goes on? I really don't get why so many people don't put his name up there with the all time greats. He easily deserves it.
Have you seen how Krizz Kaliko went from rapping like tech n9ne to singing to the sickest TRAP/rap hybrid ive ever heard! That's why he's known as the "genius" of Strange Music.
