- So Fallout 4 has 186 unique weapons and New Vegas has 235... but when it comes to weapon variety, nothing comes close to the amount of weapons Skyrim has. Today we'll be using a weapon randomizer in Skyrim with one goal - finish the game.
Will the levelling system of Skyrim make this a harder challenge? Will the variety of weapons be too much to handle?

Counting all of them, 4 one hand categories, 3 two handers, bows, and staves. Not counting unique weapons, thats a minimum of 8 plus all the spells staves can conjure.
And crossbows too, plus the targe of the blooded
Weapon randomizer sounds like the only way to prevent the character build from ending up a stealth archer by late game
does fortify restoration looping into invincibility count?
I truly feel like I'm one of the last skyrim players that haven't went stealth archer once. Beat the game multiple times, only touched a bow for hunting.

Orc heavy armor dual swords berserker focused on Elemental Fury shout usage. More OP than stealth archer.

Can confirm Paralyze enchantment on a Melee Weapon is very fun.
Also just the straight-up Paralyze spell. It's not only Overpowered, but it's supremely hilarious watching enemies tumble off cliffs or go sailing into the air.
Agreed I even give my companion a weapon i enchanted with paralyze. Only thing I don't like is how many times i have to recharge the weapon so much. I mean I have fire and paralyze on my weapons so it probably drains twice as fast now that i think about it
@@abrahamwashington8579 What I do is enchant it to paralyze for just 1 single second. Since Para just has a duration and not a strength like a damage enchant, the para effect will always do the same thing; make them fall down.
They dont stay down for long, but no matter how long the Para effect they always have to fall down before it wears off, and when you're hitting fast enough that it procs before they even get back up anyway, it saves on recharges needed
@@abrahamwashington8579 if you have magic cost reductions it applies to enchantments of the same school! So if you have fortify alteration cost that adds up to 100% on your armor it will make it not use charge
Oh dude. I love paralyze lol. You fight in the right place and it's the funniest thing ever. I also ended up getting a mod that alters potions so that they have some sort of consequence to using them(forces players to play the game more strategically). All minor health potions do 3 secs of paralyze. It kind of sucks, but at the same time it's fun because I can stand o the edge of something and heal, and I'll just start barreling off like someone threw a slinky down some stairs lol
Threatening to kill someone so that they can take you on their ship across the sea to Solstheim sounds like the best idea a video game has ever had, no potential for the crew to strip you of all of your possessions and throw you overboard in the middle of the sea while they sail back to where they wanted to be, none whatsoever

You're right, no potential for that at all. If they tried anything the Dragonborn would be piloting an otherwise empty vessel to Raven Rock.

Bold of you to assume the Dragonborn sleeps. If he's anything like mine, he stood on the front deck dead eyed like a statue.
Considering that by that point your character can split a mountain in half, set entire holds ablaze, rip your soul out of your body, and stop time all with nothing but your voice alone, yeah, I'd like to see them try.
If I've learned anything from this video, its that Jabo will do a "beating the most rereleased game ever with a ghost doggo" video and suffer immensly for it

Fun fact about the reikling - similar to Dogmeat in Fallout4, you can have a single reikling following you around without it counting as having a follower.
Dogmeat counts as a follower
He does count he just counts as the pet like you can't have a dog if you have a reikling.
I don't care what happens as long as dogmeat still loves me.

Your intro felt like a personal attack. Skyrim is my number one favourite game. I love games that let me pick up mostly everything and it was one of the first real games i ever played. Previously i had played DS games, Xbox 360 demos and dance games. Which are fine games but i had no frame of reference to what videogames could really be.
Skyrim opened my world up to RPG games. I love Skyrim.

@@BridgerArner I'm guessing you've never played any RPG games before Skyrim. Skyrim did not in any way "make the table" the only parts of the game that were better than any other rpg at the time were the pure size of the map (which is debatable if it's "better") and graphical fidelity (I'll admit it was a remarkably beautiful game for such a large open world).
The most important components of a RPG are it's combat and story, so I'll focus on them. It's combat was a very generic system from the early to mid 2000's (for gods sake it was outdated for oblivion let alone skyrim 5 years later) and the magic system was stripped down to a mere skeleton. it's story and story-telling were both very generic and in some places absolutely awful (the civil war where the stormcloaks have no redeeming quality to balance out the pure stupidity of their rebellion, being the prime example).
Nothing skyrim did was new or pushed any boundaries (other than size) so I'm really curious how you could possibly believe it "made the table".
Skyrim was so successful because it released at such an opportune time, when Gaming as a hobby was becoming far more readily accepted and so people would get home form school/work and sit down for an hour or two just to chill and unwind. Skyrim is a great game but an awful RPG.
@@DyslexicSpartan I had played a few, and while yes Skyrim has many flaws, it almost single-handedly exploded the popularity of rpgs and open worlds. Skyrim was a pivotal game for the genre. And while it has a very generic combat and magic system, it’s still both limited enough and creative enough that people keep coming back to try to break it and keep finding new ways. The storytelling is heavy handed at times, but Skyrim is great because the best stories are the ones you make in your head during encounters. Every playthrough is unique, and you only won’t have fun if aren’t trying to. Thank you for coming to my ted talk

This is one of those games that still holds up today even tho the game is over a decade old. I've probably made over 200 characters while only beating the main story twice just bc its so fun to start from scratch as a knew type of character.

I only started my first Skyrim playthrough recently and I'm enjoying it. Are people really starting to turn on it? I've always heard it's one of the best games ever. Lol
it is a great game. the people who usually dont like it is because its kind of a simpler rpg compared to the other elder scrolls games. like classes and certain attributes were bunched together and some people dont like the setting and lore that skyrim brought. but as a game to play and explore it does just that.
nah it was kind of weird to hear that intro. I easily consider Skyrim a top 5 game for me and most people who played it when it released would probably agree. CZcamsrs are still constantly posting videos and challenges and they get millions of views. I think with so many great games nowadays it is easy to call Skyrim simple, but it was absolutely amazing for its time
People started turning on Skyrim a few years ago. I forget who but a big CZcamsr made a video saying Skyrim was terrible and that has been the narrative for a while on CZcams. Pretty much every video the last 4 years on Skyrim are either hit pieces or saying it is worse than oblivion. You get enough videos like this and everyone starts nodding along.

7:13 Ignite is actually insane. Its a stacking DoT flame spell. Max destruction with dual cast ignite quite literally melts everything.
I just wish its counterpart stacked as well. If the slowing effect of Freeze also stacked, it'd be just as good as Ignite.
The best description I heard of Skyrim is that it is a vast ocean only 6 inches deep.

Skyrim has a large number of weapons but I would not call it a variety. Every one handed weapon feels like every other one-handed weapon, every two-handed feels like every other two-handed etc
theres definite differences in attack speed of a dagger vs a sword axe or mace, and greatsword vs battleaxe or warhammer, especially when you get into uniques. Yea they all come down to you smacking the enemy, but thats how melee weapons work

I'll always love this game, i got it on the 360 when it first came out when i was 8 and put well 3000 if not more hours in just on that console. Since then i'll have at least 2 playthroughs every year and i still enjoy it every time

Skyrim is definitely in my top ten, and I'd suspect it's probably the most well loved game of all time not because it's the best at any one thing but because it's just so well rounded. Sure the combat isn't that great by today's standards but I'll be damned if I don't feel like a world saving dragon hunting bad ass by the end game and with a lore that's only surpassed by darksouls in my opinion plus it's still active modding community of say it's probably my second if not third game of all time

Ice and water are my favorite elements in games. Most of Skyrim's enemies sadly resist ice damage (all nords, draugrs, vampires etc...)

what made skyrim one of my favorite games was the great music and some interesting quests like the dark brotherhood. the gameplay, story, graphic and all that never mattered to me.
But just hearing the music... feels like childhood.

Skyrim isnt a bad game; I think there's a discrepancy in the way youtubers/streamers play open-world rpgs and how regular people do. When I sit down to play a game, its to relax at the end of the day but for you, its basically your job. I can spend 4 hours aimlessly wandering the open world, reading notes in games in detail, finding secrets and taking in the entire world and have a lot of fun doing it but you cant do because it wont be good content. So you can spend a lot of hours in a game but your attitude going into it as a content creator and not as just a player makes it a little difficult to appreciate open-ended games like these

You can pick a random direction and keep going until you find a random cave that was the tomb of a dragon priest who slowly mind controlled a group of people who were camping out at its entrance, you find notes scattered about that shows how his influence over them increasing day by day, every dungeon has the same textures but have unique handcrafted layouts. The current day Ubisoft games have larger worlds but feel so empty, hell even Witcher 3's exploration as good as it was, still didn't fell quite like Skyrim

There is one Giant Camp with a Giant Hammer laying on the ground, that you can instruct your companion to pick up... do that with a Riekling as your companion, it is hilarious.

Skyrim is my personal favourite game as a 10yr old it was the first game I played that wasn’t on the wii at my grandparents house my first play through was as an orc because I thought it looked cool and never got past the golden claw gate because 10yr old me didn’t know how do it nor did I know what CZcams was so I spent the whole time exploring the world and not progressing the story honestly I think it was the best way I could’ve my first play through and I wish I could re live those moments
