Stitch Sampler - How To Make Slow Stitched Art Using Small Fabric Scraps

- I made this stitch sampler using 14 different embroidery stitches. There are actually 16 but I didn’t record the backstitch and running stitch.
Do you have small pieces of scrap fabric sitting around? They can be used to stuff pin cushions and other fabric items, but we can also use them in our slow stitching projects.
I have used some of my small fabric scraps to create a slow stitch embroidery sampler. It’s fun to practice stitches you don’t use often and if you’re a beginner, I hope you learn something new from this video.

I remember as a primary school child trying to learn to embroider. I was not very good at it; just too impatient, I guess.
I really like watching your French Knots - - my knots always ended up about an inch away from the fabrics ... now I know why! LOL ... my sister-in-law told me about slow stitching and your channel. It has been quite satisfying to see why I didn't succeed when I was younger, and I don't remember who was even trying to teach me. Your creativity and ability and attention to detail just fascinates me. I really enjoy watching your creations.

I like the 2 or 3mm ones but will use whatever I think will suit my project.

Also curious if you cover the back or allow your stitching on the back to be visible?
I put mine in fabric books so a backing isn’t necessary for me because the backs won’t be seen once they’re in the book.
