    I like Joe and this is absolutely not a knock on him or Clay but 11:57 those Joker wrenches SUUUUCK, I bought a set about a year ago and they are the biggest waste of money. The jaws on the open end spread way too easy and they will slip with heavy pressure (I'm talking oil drain plug or caliper bolt level of tightness). Also fitting the open end of the wrench over a bolt head takes more precision than normal wrenches which either takes time to learn or just more time while you're learning. I wasn't happy with the inconsistency in the back drag of the ratcheting mechanisms either. The smaller wrenches are more difficult to ratchet so working with a bolt that's just barely started isn't as simple as it is when I'm working with my other wrenches. I was hoping this would get better with use but it hasn't. One feature that I really like was the color stripe indicating the size because it became really easy to pick the right size quickly and they did do a good job with the size marking, but because the stripe is level with the surface of the wrench the stripes have gotten nicked and with continued use they would all but disappear. Why not recess this feature just a little? If you look at their sockets the coloring is in a recessed groove that will take a long time to show wear. So they know how to do this on their other tools why not on the wrenches? The second thing I like about these wrenches is the finish, they still look pretty good and don't show too much wear except for the stripe feature. These are overpriced and sub par wrenches that suffer from the 12 point design that makes the open end weak despite the obvious bracing they tried to add. Again, I'm not blaming Joe he's just getting products people want. I don't blame the guy selling Chryslers I just wouldn't buy one. Unless you need the nut holding feature they are a huge waste of money and I wish I could go back and undo my purchase of these. Do yourself a favor and save the money.

    • @firering51
      @firering51 Před rokem +1

      I also own these Wera wrenches and can confirm the open end is weak. I needed to go super tight on some bolts one time and the head flexed and slipped, the bolt heads got gouged up in the process. I've only used the holding function probably once in the year that I've had them, so for the price I would probably stay away.

    Almost hate these great tool vidios. Promised the wife that when I retired 4 years ago I would stop.our chasing any toys mean tools. Just did not tell her what year that I will stop purchasing tools. I had three sets of tools. One in my garage, one in work and a set at a machine shop/ injection molding plant that I moonlighted at maybe 6 to 8 hours a week. Still have two boxes of tools that will not fit into my overflowing tool cart, two large tool chest and a file cabinet. Wera makes best in class tools.

    • @the2Atreeclimber

      I think astro but idk if the Astro ones come in that cool case. Those are the famous matco b that everyone has talked about for years but they're just made by Astro and rebranded. I don't know who makes that badass case for them though because if you buy the drill bits I know I would want that case

    • @KoonTrucking
      @KoonTrucking  Před rokem

      Actually the Astro bits are sold under the Matco name but Astro doesn't make them either, they just impart them. These bits and the Norseman bits are made in the USA, under the same Taiwanese patent.

    • @wadesmith9483
      @wadesmith9483 Před rokem

      @@trevoredgell2422 easy there fella…LOL don’t get so worked up. Call em spin sticks if ya like, you have my word no more tool grammar. Technically those drills in the video would be referred to as whatever the maker came up with for the tip design then twist drill, technically. Example: “pointy end self centering twist drill” twist is a given for the most part. Twist refers only to the way the flutes wrap around the drill. So what do I call these #19 two straight flute carbide drills I’m looking at? There’s no twist. Easier just to refer to them as drills. Because who knows, someone may be referring to a Tap Drill or clearance Drill as a “Drill”. Heck my machinist handbook most always only refers to them as drills as well. That handbook is fairly technical too. But heck, all in good humor. I’m no troll.. c’mon man
