So so so good!!! Thank you so much for these helpful tips and tricks! You are a heaven sent!
You're very welcome!
Coincidently came across your tutorial. I am leading this song at a womens ministry event this weekend. Thank you for sharing great singing tips and your beautiful voice. I will practice your tips and let the Holy Spirit deliver.
You’re welcome! Hope the event went well!
you're so great teacher! and your voice is so amazing.
Thank you for your encouraging words!
I am 15 years old and have always loved singing. I just joined my youth band (we're singing waymaker) and someone recommended that I watch your videos and do your courses and such. This video was so helpful to me, I am still learning what my head voice and chest voice sound like, it's all a bit confusing. But thank you for posting this video 😁
That is awesome!
Thank you! I have listened to this tutorial before, but I am singing this tomorrow night for our recording for Sunday morning. I’ll sing mostly backup, but this is so very helpful!
You’re welcome!
I'll be the songleader this Sunday, and this video has been helpful! I'll repeat it whenever needed. Thanks. God bless. ❤️
So glad to hear it helped you so much!
Came across this looking for help on the tenor part for Way Maker, and instead found the help that I've needed for years. I'll be watching more of your videos. Thanks!
Awesome, so glad you enjoyed the video!
Follow-up: Watched more. All great. Sent the director of worship ministry at our church a link to your channel. Large stable of vocalists who would benefit from your teaching.
@@richlucchese7804 Thanks so much!

Honestly you've been much help, Thank you appreceate your work. God bless your heart.
Glad to help!
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. You make it easy to understand. I hope to join in on the course sometime soon.
You're very welcome! It will be great to have you in the Worship Vocalist community!
Loved this!! Thank you so much for putting this up. I struggle with finding mixed, chest and knowing when to engage what so this is a game changer
You're welcome!
Thank you for this. Hopefully, I remember everything I learned and am able to apply it tonight. For me, the key to it was the narrow mouth thing. I recorded myself at your suggestion and was able to eliminate the weird vibrato AND sing more clearly. I FEEL like I'm singing weirdly but it SOUNDS normal on the recording. We'll see how it goes. Also, my voice doesn't feel tired like it usually does after practicing so much. Time to rest now. Thanks, again!
You're welcome! Glad to help! I know it can totally FEEL strange to do these things but then it sounds totally normal!!
As always, so very helpful. Thank you! And you look amazing. ❤️
Glad you found it helpful! And thanks so much!!
Sister is beautiful!
Wow so amazing the tenacity of emotions❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you Charmaine, I've learnt a lot from you.
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much! I was browsing other lessons on CZcams and not kowing quite what I needed. Your tutorial is what I need to take my singing to the next level! This is completely new to me about nasal resonance and mixing it. Now I understand why, as a soprano, I would get so tired practicing and performing mainly head singing throughout a song.Great content!!
You're so welcome! Glad to help!
I'm doing this today, this morning, thank you. God nless❤
You're welcome! Hope it went well!
Subscribing!! Thanks for this. About to add this song to my repertoire and it's different for me, these tips will help me to be successful in delivery (by God's grace)!
You're welcome! Glad to help!

Key of A for basses also works well. Key of C more for tenors/baritones. Great tutorial!

thank you so much!! i will be leading for the first time ever in July and im super nervous! i don't know a lot about the technical stuff when it comes to singing but you have made it so easy to understand. i am not sure about my range but your exercises are definitely giving me a better idea. saving this video and your others as good reference.

Thank you for this, it was really helpful for me! Id love to see a tutorial for Never lost
Glad you found it helpful!
If someone could add Spanish lyrics I know you could have many views because a lot of song in English are sung in Latin America (in English and the translated version)
God bless you all💙
Yes, hopefully in the future!
Thanks for these great videos. Definitely the most helpful information I've ever come across!!!! One of my biggest problems are the words, "here" and "heart" they come out awful. What's the deal with those words???? Thanks again. God bless.
Hi Renee! The issue with words that start with an “h” is that the voice doesn’t have much grip because the “h” goes breathy!
This is really great. Thank you so much.
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it!
Woah! Mind blown! Thank you!!!! This solves my bottoming out issue😎🥰
You're very welcome!
Wow thank you!
You’re welcome!
thank you for this 🙏🏼
You’re welcome!
I have to giggle...the "ugly" exercises that don't seem "right" for the sound, remind me of The Karate Kid..."wax on, wax off"...and how annoyed he was that he wasn't "learning karate"...and yet, he was! Just found you this week "by accident'>...(right) and the way you explain the different voices and demonstrate with such practical ways to actually FEEL how it should sound get me to that warmed up place where singing is effortless, but I never really knew what exactly it was that made it easier sometimes...I now understand some of the science behind that mixed sound and can get there faster and remain there much more consistently. Awesome stuff, thank you for sharing your time and talent!
Totally like Karate Kid, absolutely!! Glad you’re enjoying the videos!
You are an incredible teacher and singer! I love the lesson. That being said, I am having difficulty following with switching back and forth from female to male. I can sing both, but I can’t remember due to the switching. Do you have another video for females? Just a shot in the dark, thank you!
Hey! Sorry for the delay - I don’t have a video specifically for females, sorry!
Wow.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good job ma'am... Please have you run a teaching on riffs in runs? I can't find any
Hey! I teach this in my "Master Your Voice" course on www.theworshipvocalist.com!
My tip for the higher chorus is to keep an open throat for it to be little effort. Another tip is to put some style into those low parts. Make it sound cool.
Yes, definitely style in the low parts is great!
Just wanted to say thank you! At first to be honest I thought this was too good to be true as I've been struggling with this for a while in this key! However I played the instrumental in C to confirm it and it was actually a reality! I am considering signing up to your program. Please let me know of any deals/offers you are doing. Many thanks.
Hey! Please email us @ support@theworshipvocalist.com and we can get you hooked up! :)
Thank you
You're welcome!
I cannot do it in G
I’ll be doing it in A cause those verses are way too low 💀
I sit more comfortable in
higher notes too
Thanks for all your tips
I hear ya - do it in the best key for your voice!
Wow!😍For the first time I come across your video. Will you be able to make a video to sing a whole song, just like that. Just to hear this beautiful voice of yours, given to you by God and for His glory? I liked your voice, it's magical!
Be blessed! (sorry if there are any mistakes, greet from Bulgaria)❤️❤️
Hi! Thanks so much for the encouragement! Perhaps in the future! :)
Please How to sing " Holy forever" 🙏
Hi! Thanks for the request! Perhaps in the future!
do you have a suggested key for women that can't reach the low G.. personally thats very low for me but i don't have an issue reaching the higher part
Hey! I would suggest doing it in G but not jumping down the octave in the chorus or bridge-just stay in the higher octave!
Can you have. a demo please from you to sing the part of a guy to jump nicely as you said not necessary but it might be if it would deliver just like some professionals. ❤
I'm not able to demo that at this time but thanks for the request!
This mixed voice is only can apply in this song? (Because i think this song is special and hard)
Or the other song also have to sing by this same way??
Yes the mix voice techniques can apply to all contemporary worship songs!
So thankful I stumbled upon this vocal tutorial as I have needed help with this song. I have a question though....I usually have my male vocals lead this in the key of D and I always struggle on singing with them. I'm first thinking I need to change the key to C then should I harmonize with the male vocals or what?
I would recommend putting the song in the best key for the vocalist who is leading the song, and then you should harmonize with that, yes!
Does our vocal range limit us from doing this ? I am asking about the G Key for female
If our range is limited, then yes it does become challenging to sing with an octave jump and stay in a similar tone. But range can be expanded over time!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🌬🌬🌬🌬
Glad you enjoyed it!
Eu vou te seguir que seja gratuito, eu gosto de música.💕💕💕🤓🤓🤓
Glad you enjoyed it!
i am a lady of almost 60 batteling to get to the G note so can i sing this in C or is there a way how i can get to the G note dont know please need help
Females are able to access the G note when we engage our chest voice-check out my “Discover Your Voice” course @ www.theworshipvocalist.com to learn how to do that!
Are you doing this tutorial in G, Gb or G# for the female lead?
I’m in G for my demonstrations here.
I hope everyone who is singing this song will credit the original singer-SINACH. I would appreciate it if you mention that in your description box. Thanks. I can't wait to learn with you.
Hey! We do credit Sinach in the video title-I agree, not enough people know of the original writer! Powerful version (and singer!).
Brasil 😍 happy 🤩 show
:)
How about if the guy note is key of D? What would be the transition key? High range?
In the key of D, the high note in the chorus would be an F# (on the word “darkness”).
Will you have any videos for you keep hope Alive?
Perhaps in the future!
I’m new to harmony, but I’m trying to harmonize to someone singing in the key of C for this song. Will this help? Or is this for a different key
Hey! This tutorial is for a different key, so I would perhaps look on CZcams for different covers, and see if there is one in the right key for you.
Vocal warm up 19:20
Hello!
Is it possible you sing all the song so I can see how it works, please?
Hey! I don't sing the full song all the way through in this tutorial - but you can hear many different versions of it on CZcams, by Sinach, Leeland, Michael W Smith, Passion, and more!
Thank you so much for answering me.
I’m not sure how to sing bc each one sing a different way and I’m a little bit confuse...
which one would be the best way?
@@Nainnyny without hearing your voice, it's not a question I can answer-because everyone's voice is so different! For subscribers to my Worship Vocalist courses, they can send in a recording of their voice for personalized feedback from me-if you're interested in that you can find it in the website store at www.theworshipvocalist.com
Great!
I’ll go there!
Thank you!
👍🏻👌🏻
I am trying this in B for service Sunday. I know the male key is C but we are having sound/mixing/vocal issues. If I go through with it in B what do you suggest for the choruses/bridges as far as stay on the lower octave or flipping up? Its right on the edge of my voice when flipped up in B but G is too low in the lower choruses. We have tried A and it may have to be the best key so I can flip up really strong, but my sound lady says she can't mix me in on the low choruses and I am giving it my all to bring as much power as I can. Thoughts?
Hey! Sorry I'm just seeing this now!! What key did you end up doing it in?? I would probably say your best bet is to put it in a key that feels the best in the HIGH octave-so A for you, and don't go down the octave at all... where there would normally be the low octave, just sing it in the higher octave, but lighter/softer if you can, so that you leave room to build for the later choruses.
@@worshipvocalistits okay! We ended up doing it in B and it actually sounded good! I think I wasn't using as much my mixed resonance and power at home, relying more on my head voice, and because of that was worried it might get sharp but when I applied what you were talking about and from other videos of yours it felt good and sounded good! It enabled me to flip up the octave and get the full feel of the song 😊
@@kinseyjohnson4341 awesome! Glad to hear it!
I can't find anyone able to sing correctly on their own, Incomplete by Backstreet Boys. Why?
Hi Gabriel, I don't teach mainstream pop songs, so I don't have a comment on that, sorry!
Do you do personal 1 one 1 training??
Hey! I do-you can check out info at theworshipvocalist.com/private-coaching/
tribes by victory plsssss
Perhaps in the future! Thanks for the request!
I cannot go that low
I hear ya! Change the key to one that suits your voice best!
I probably missed this, but did you ever explain why the top half of the verse has to be Nay Nay Nay and the second half has to be Muh Muh Muh?
Hey! There’s not a “right/wrong” for how the exercises are used-I just use what I find is most helpful for my voice and the students I teach! For this song, the NAY helps with the start of the chorus because it rhymes with “WAY”maker, and the UH in the “MUM” sound helps us with the UH vowels in “PRUH”mise... LUHD (light)... etc. Hope that helps clarify!
Thank you very much for that! It makes sense.
