Hilarious from Martin about his beef with Andy Gray đ
Fireeeee from martin ripping him, I love players that dnt hold back 3ven simon jordan couldn't believe it
Keown never lets you down with his stupid comments..pure comedy genius
An iconic Premier League moment
đŻ
Totally...Awesome
Keown actually makes a very valid point whether people want to acknowledge it or not. If you actually closely listen to commentators, and you listen to them over enough seasons, you can clearly tell that they like and dislike certain players. The easiest way to tell is when they constantly praise certain players but go very quiet when they make mistakes. But when a player they donât like does something good they go equally quiet while constantly bashing them whenever they can. Itâs very obvious if you actually pay close attention to the language, tone, and context used by pundits.
Cough Xhaka cough
You are overthinking, it is simply nobody likes Martin Keown
@@louislong1514 I like him. The sort of man you want on your side in a fight. I doubt anyone thinks that of you.
Martin Tyler coverage of Ronaldo during the Qatar World Cup was actually tiring đŽ
@@louislong1514I love Martin Keown
Never trust someone who canât admit when theyâre wrong.
I still don't get how Van Nistelrooy got Vierra sent off, all he did was take a step back, he didn't dive or feign injury and the ref saw the whole thing happen so it's purely down to his interpretation!!
It's called Delusion, and it's extremely strong in Arsenal supporters. RvN reacted to a player trying to hurt him, and they say he dived to get Viera sent off. Joke. That Arsenal team was full of divers.
Corruption was at its peak
Watch the original challenge from Van Nistelrooy on Vieira again. Deliberate and reckless. Fact is Utd regularly kicked Arsenal off the park in those days and the refs turned a blind eye to it. Classic example was the following year. Utd got away with foul after foul and then won the game through a blatant dive from Rooney. Thankfully, those days are long gone and Utd have to play by the same rules as the rest of us.
@@user-ly7bf8ld4p "trying to hurt him" lol a girly kick ? Next you'll try and tell me Beckham tried to hurt Simeone
@Matthew-bu7fg a girly kick? A stomping action showing his studs is a girly kick? Do you play Sunday League against Trans Women or something? Is that your definition of girly? It was deliberate and not within the laws of the game. Exactly like Beckham's (aside from the severity). An immediate red card. Learn the rules.
Mike Riley cost Arsenal that 50 games unbeaten streak
The Rooney challenge from Sol Campbell was so dodgy for a penalty
Riley always give them pens.
Renowned for it.
Ignore the fact that we should have had one later in that game for Ashley Cole taking down Ronaldo in the area with the ball nowhere in site. Or how your unbeaten run ends 8 days before the battle of Old Trafford in 2003 if Pires didn't dive to gain a penalty against Portsmouth which tied the game.
Keowns hypocrisy is incredible, the only reason they went unbeaten that season was because of Robert Piers against Portsmouth, still possibly the worst dive ever to this day
Exactly, that's never talked about I watched that game Pompey were robbed
simon jordan loving it
Look at his grin and the cogs turning in his head as Martin gets increasingly rattled

Not a lot of defenders could handle Ruud. Keown was one of them.
Viera kicked out studs showing, Ruud moved back and then highlighted it to the ref like any player would, or if it was an Arsenal player he would have been rolling on the floor actually đ Viera got himself sent off, there is literally no other reality. Or even if you think the red was harsh, still not RVNâs fault is it
He was nowhere near him mate. Come on
@@stevepreston6173 he wasnât close to connecting, but once again what player doesnât do what Ruud did and point it out to the ref (who saw it anyway), unless it would be to roll around on the floor like Pires or Reyes would haveâŠ
â@stevepreston6173 not relevant if he was near or far.
The rule: "Foul or attempted foul..."
Scholes was sent off in 07 at Anfield for taking a swipe at Alonso. Didn't connect. Not relevant. It was the action you punish. Severity will only increase the punishment IE matches served through suspension.
Saka got studs in his leg last week⊠no card at all - the earlier challenge was from the earlier 2000s
@@moghulazam3101 I mean was a foul even given? That was just a full on mistake wasnât it? But still irrelevant, like I said itâs not about whether you think it was harsh or not, itâs the idea that Van Nistelrooy did anything wrong to âget viera sent offâ thatâs truly ridiculous and wrong

Emotion heat of the moment stuff thatâs sport and why we love it.
Thank you Stephen for a fantastic comment - that's exactly what it was and why it's still getting mentioned to this day. Football has been so sterilized for the younger sensitive generation that it's lost most of its passion.
Slated version of events and reluctantly giving others praise, is Martin keown describing his own out look when talking about anyone but arsenal, this mad man is on another planet.

Dude absolutely chimped out, embarrassing that heâs trying to defend himself. Shouldâve been issued a long ban.
@MrRyanlennie2005
Itâs not embarrassing at all. Heâs actually giving very good context and talks in detail about how he can look back at the situation objectively now. Itâs really not that complicated. If youâve ever played at a high level with huge stakes on the line, you can 100% relate to what Keown was going through at that specific moment in time. Keep fishing for âlikesâ with cheap comments like that. But the only thing embarrassing is you not actually understanding the context of what Keown is saying and shows how out of touch you are with elite level competition.
I'd bet money that you're also one of those fans who excused brutal tackles on Arsenal players as 'Arsenal being soft and not liking it up 'em'.
Hip hip martin. Still best moment ever .

Never seen jordan enjoy a story like he did there.
What rubbish Viera tried to kick out at Van Nistelrooy his intention was to kick him and hurt him and Van Nistelrooy moved out the way like a normal person and deserved the red card
Keown canât admit even after 20 years that he was in the wrong

I remember this, Iâm pretty sure Keown was being a tit all game, not just after the penalty.

One thing i remember about keown was the night arsenal played newcastle and shearer elbowing him and he had to wear a huge bandage on his head and after that he won every header.typical martin lol

Absolutely. And that's from a Gooner. We have to love him even though he's unhinged, because he's one of ours and unlike some ex-Gunners in the media (Cough Alan Smith) he doesn't try and hide his allegiance.
He really is mental, thereâs being biased towards your team but heâs like Ty from AFTV
He was spikey on the pitch.but i wouldnt say dirty.he did love the physical battle with the likes of hughes and shearer.

Assaulted whilst barely making contact? You have an agenda and we can all smell it a mile off.

I admire that Keown has no regrets about it but his captain let himself down by kicking out and that's the only reason he got sent off. Understandable to enjoy the penalty miss as they were rivals but to paint Van Nistelrooy as a cheat is very wrong.
Keown never a footballer just a thug
Keown is a shithouse. Van Nistlerooy was one of the best strikers in the PL era.
I still donât know if keown is just a guest or what? Why do the âinviciblesâ get brought up every single day?
Andy Gray was awful on the mic!

Keown living with no regrets here...I love that kind of conviction. Too often people change track!
Keown used to act the hard man what has happened to him ?
I'm a lifelong Tottenham fan and I have always been on the Arsenal players' side about the van Nistelrooy incident.
Van Nistelrooy was a wind up merchant and he got what was coming to him.

What ever you think of martin, he played an absurd amount of years at highest level
I agree on commentators, i am not surprised there are footballers who do not want to know what these experts think of them.
Keown played an absurd amount of years at highest level
They do not make these sorts of footballers any more.
Good for martin here speaking up for his idea of what happened, and no matter what happens, there is always two sides to a story, and its only right that both sides can speak.
People speak alot of rubbish about keown, football back then was what it was. Todays football has gone to absurd levels of being clean, its totally boring.
I do not watch football anymore, but i doubt there is the rivalry between anyone today, that arsenal and man utd had in those years.
Ask roy keane, he would openly say he misses that competition between the two, and he knows that there is nothing like it today in football
Its absurd now that teams like each other when they are competing for the biggest prizes
Man utd were full of rapists and thugs, and arsenal in years i watched them, never allowed themselves to be bullied, and man utd under fergie bullied teams.
Why do man utd people moan that there was a team that they could not walk over?
I am sure no matter what roy keane and the likes say, they loved the competition from arsenal in those years
Most teams would just be bullied by man utd under fergie, he filled that team with males who were rapists, and thugs, and if you wanted to compete with such monsters on the field, you needed people like martin keown.
I stopped watching arsenal in 2002, and from what i hear about this thing happened in 2003, there was nothing wrong.
Man utd were a team of bastards, and martin keown knows this, to compete with such teams, you needed to not let them bully you, as man utd under fergie walked over so many teams back then, but he never did it to arsenal in years i watched them.
Football is a competition and top players have a massive will to win.
You can be sure roy keane loved playing arsenal, and how arsenal would not back down to manutd in those years.
I do not blame some players for not wanting to hear the experts speak about them.
