i actually got one of these 4x4 calendar cubes for christmas, it has a red date and blue month (the one made by calvin's puzzle)
turning isn't great but it's viable, but more importantly, i found a way to sticker swap the years using an extra set of stickers to be able to go back to 1 JAN 1970.
i did have to sacrifice the day of the week stickers, but i personally didn't mind as i like the 4 digit year on it's own better, and the day of the week is relative to the year, anyway. (i changed the 5 and 6 centers into 9s in the needed orientations and put a 1 on the edge where the "day" sticker used to be)
my calendar cube now goes up to 31 DEC 2049. that's still over 26 years away, so i'll be just fine. the layout does still work for everything else.

This was an AMAZING showcase, detailed, complete, and with even a review and story with the cubes!
I loved this video from start to end, it was really interesting to hear all of your stories and moments along how cubes as a whole evolved over time.

Will you be doing anything for this February 29? Because in 2016 you started 3x3 one turn per day, and in 2020 you started 4x4 one turn per day.
I was thinking of doing something like 2x2 one turn per day for a short. :)

I managed to watch the entire video in one sitting on normal speed. I didn’t even realize until the end that the green “stairs” are made out of 1000+ Rubik’s cubes 😮😂
Here’s my collection. In order from easy to hard in my opinion. I can currently solve the first 7 of them .
1. Mefferts pyraminx duo (my best time is exactly 1 second)
2. Rubik’s edge (my best time is 9.22 seconds)
3. NexCube 2x2 (best turning puzzle I have, my best time is 12.31 seconds)
4. Unknown brand pyraminx duo supercube (just a pyraminx duo, but it had black stickers on it so you could just see an outline of each color space, so I peeled all of the stickers off and drew arrows on it with a sharpie) (my best time is exactly 8 seconds)
5. Homer Simpson Rubik’s (it’s like the banana 2x2x3 except it’s 2x2x2, and shaped like Homer’s head, and also the worst turning puzzle I have, my best time is 1:15.99)
6. Mefferts pyraminx edge (the same puzzle as a Jing’s pyraminx, my best time is 58.44 seconds)
7. Rubik’s 2x2 but I turned it into a 2x2 sudoku cube (I cut 2 very large white stickers into 12 squares of the right size, wrote numbers on them with pen, and stuck them on the cube, I also had the cube scrambled when I put the stickers on because I can still see the colors a tiny bit and I don’t want to be able to use the colors to solve it) (my best time is 3:16.6)
8. Rubik’s 3x3 (I currently don’t know how to solve it, my best time is 13:10.91)
9. Rubik’s tower 2x2x4
10. Mefferts skewb Xtreme (it’s impossible to describe the shape of it good, just look it up) I would say this one is even harder than a 4x4!
