When you ran that dappled sunlight through your painting was TRUELY amazing! You should set up a light system to go with it…

Thanks for commenting Richie, there really is an art in itself to hanging paintings... maybe a subject for a future video...

There's vitality and a sense of devil may care attitude in your painting process. And yet there's a sophistication behind it. Do you paint with a narrative? What's behind your art? Again the editing is superb. Thank you for this. It's a treat watching you work. Future videos, honestly, I can't recommend anything because most of what you present is always surprising and informative.

I love how you turn subtle human observations and senses up a level with a philosophical and academic explanation.

Sarah- thanks so much for watching! I agree, its my absolute favourite aspect of painting- seeing how sunlight makes the brushstrokes dance on the canvas! x

Most interesting insight into developing your technique and finding said result. It is a pity time, space and travel cannot afford me the luxury of hearing your analysis as a seventy year old; what you change and what stays. Bigger studio on the horizon. A’bientot, from Cleguerec, Bretagne. 💙🤍❤️😷🇫🇷🍷🇬🇧👍

Nice video! Can you share your glazing medium recipe and share some techniques you find useful in achieving different glazing effects - we want more technical info Thank you

Technical information on glazes will be one for my 'to-do' list..mostly I use a damar varnish thinned down with a 1-1 ratio with turpentine, the more turps you add the more the concentrate becomes a 'retouching varnish.' Or you can buy matt varnish mediums ready to go on your final piece! Again, this is something I can discuss in future episodes. Thanks!

@@ArtLifeWeekly thank you for your answer. Very interesting content unlike all other youtubers. I tried to avoid turps as much as possible so if you manage to find more non toxic friendly glaze let us know in the upcoming video! 😸 ❤️
