Agree on the sharpness of the stock clasp, it’s not talked about nearly as much as the lume issue but far more impactful - for me anyway. I have my p39 mostly on uncle straps’ jubilee - really gives a different look.

Youre right the OEM rubber was a letdown. It was not so soft and highly frictional and the tudor hands on the inside are nonsensical. Altho I still prefer the endlink look to the Zealande style. I think it suits the look of the watch better.

I think it's longer because of the dive extension, which I would guess is not a feature that gets used a whole lot but needs to be there for it to be a "real" dive watch. (On my wrist it's also not a problem -- have never scratched myself. Also it's pretty similar to the current Submariner clasp, FWIW)@@BowlOfSalmon

Yes! Finally someone who doesn't knobride Tudor and actually states things the way they are. I experienced two separate P39's and both were littered with various defects, like poor tolerances, dusty dials, uneven lume, gritty crown threads and easily the most rattly bracelet I've felt in any watch, noticeably worse than my cheap and cheerful Chinese homage watches. I'd say if on a scale of 1-10 I'd have to place Tudor in terms of QC for the Pelagos 39, it would be a 5/10 at most. That's way too much money for a watch full of flaws.

My favorite straps lately have been Nick Mankey hook straps. They are elastic straps like Erika’s, but with no material under the watch head and no folds showing when looking at the watch. They are the most comfortable strap I own, only cost $40 and come in a bunch of colors (even a few in 21mm). The only downside is there is a 12 week wait with how back ordered he is

Currently enjoying it on the US Jubilee bracelet. My only complaint with the US Jubilee bracelet is that there are too many fixed links on each side.
I'm waiting for the Zuludiver Octo system to try with my FXD. I can't wait! I have high hopes! My biggest complaint with traditional Nato's is finding a good fit as I'm generally between sizes. It's either too loose or too tight due to the distance between the holes.

Not sure if anyone else has already mentioned it but the reason the hands do not light up and hold the lume as long as the indices is because the indices are monoblock pieces of lume where the hands are not and as such less amount of lume to stay bright for as long. The hands have a border around them and if you look at the FXD the indices also have a border around them and as such the lime is more uniform
