It looked like the main fascia behind the temporary hanging name says WH Smiths again? Love Geoffrey's pics on the signal box, thanks for including them. Gosh the rain, hope we are not in for a drab summer😾.
Ive just taken another look, and I believe you could well be correct! Perhaps they have seen sense and rebranded? I'm sure we will see soon enough - Although I think the scaffolds still up, even now! 👍
I've been following this for about a year and a half.... Now I just noticed how nicely the station roof support posts are painted. And to think they called me 'slow'. 😂
Have watched several ships approach & dock at Teignmouth from a warm & sunny Shaldon beach in the past, it always looked so serene, quite relaxing somehow. The reality of the exercise is really quite terrifying, working the oceans & seas requires a courage and bravery few possess. Whatever they earn, whatever their rôle, they are worth every penny !!
I remember standing on the point watching a ship arriving, awesome.e size up close. It was so slow I got to the harbour ahead of it. Great signalbox pictures, always sat to see one go. Cheers Bill. Ps my wife Ruth always shouts "Bye" to you at the end 😅
Ha ha, that made me laugh as both Geoffrey and I say 'bye' at the end and 'hello again' at the start of each video. I think of it as a term of affection for our friend Bill. BTW, gala pie? One of our faves. Where do you get yours from in Teignmouth Bill?
