- Point Dume is a promontory on the coast of Malibu, California that extends out into the Pacific Ocean. The point, a long bluff, forms the northern end of the Santa Monica Bay. The north westernmost tip of Point Dume has been designated Point Dume Nature Preserve.
Several movies and TV shows have been filmed at Point Dume such as Planet of the Apes and Marvel's Iron Man (Tony Stark's Mansion).

AWESOME ‼️🙌🏽 Grew up at these beaches. I live in the Hawaiian Kingdom aka Hawai'i now. If you're still out there in California can you walk through Leo Carrillo, it's near Malibu/Zuma!? They even have a lava tube tunnel you can walk through to the other side of the beach (The Craft, Point Break, Bay Watch + many many more movie/tv shows filmed here) 😄🤗 That was my favorite beach growing up and they have a campground too to walk through plus nice hiking trail above the cove/camp ground looking out at the beach/surfers rock etc 🔥🔥🤙🏽
Trust me! This place is as beautiful as the best parts of the Mediterranean, if not more beautiful. California is simply gorgeous.
Maybe, except that there are no quaint little villages like on the French Riviera, Italy, Greece...
@@leolight5369 Have you been to Carmel-by-the Sea, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, Solvang, Santa Barbara? All of those small towns/cities are spectacular and beautiful. All of California is full of incredible little towns

It's beautiful, but reminds me more of portugal against the open ocean rather than the mediterranean.
Spent 3 months in Los Angeles in 2015 from october to january, i went several times in point dume beautiful panorama both side : pacific ocean, mountains...Saw whales, sea lions...great sensations!
California is my dream place to live or retire, I just think it’s so beautiful there, with it not really having any winters and the palm trees and beaches, I love it
i’ve been here my whole life trust me it’s not as beautiful as it seems... it’s a very dark place.

Yet another fabulous excursion, my good man. One of my favourite jazz musicians Lee Ritenour used to live there for 40+ years until sadly, his entire house burnt down in one of those dreadful brush fires back in 2018.

Awesome. I visited there 9 months ago back in January 2020. This Malibu site was really beautiful, better, and not to mention the ocean is super clean and the ocean is so blueish than the original Malibu beach. Love the blue ocean.

Since you made this video a brand new stairs has been built on the north side of this dirt trail. When the tide is low you can walk down the stairs and then walk to the left and end up at paradise cove to dine at the restaurant, walk on the small pier, or hang out at the beach.

Unbelievable beauty!!
They don’t allow homes to be built around there. That’s good so as to preserve the nature. But boy what a great view you’d have if you could build on the cliff high up like that, wow! My mother lived in pt dume for 20 yrs in the mobile home park , heather cliff area nearby with a nice view of the ocean from their deck! I miss it so much visiting them and walking down the hill and across the street to the beach!
It would be epic if someone built real life tony starks house there, I’d buy it no matter what

Super sleek idea
I broke my neck on that very beach! Diving in to a wave and hit the bottom and broke my C-6 and C-7 vertebrae almost leaving me paralyzed. Lesson learned and I’ll never dive again.

I think my very favourite star, Barbra Streisand lives at Point Dume. Would love some of your weather here in Kent, England, but wouldn't change my surroundings.
Thank you for the heart! Felt I should explain further. We certainly don't get the blue ocean, and only occasional blue skies. However, I would miss the beautiful green English countryside and quaint villages. I guess we can't have everything! Would love to visit though.

do you know where there's parking? I went yesterday but only found handicap parking and I really wanna go and adventure point dume
Best parking is at beach level at the east end of Westward Beach Road. ( access from PCH near Zuma Beach) drive to the far east end of Westward Beach Rd and park in one of the more than 300 spots, be sure to pay at one of the pay station’s. Walk toward the rocky point, stay to the left and take the trail up to the overlook.
I like the tropical feel of Florida better.
