Experiment with enclosing the open back of my Roland JC 120 amplifier. The experiment resulted in tighter focused sound coming out of the front of the amp which is what I wanted.
Understand where you're coming from, you lose a certain amount of tonality with open back cabinets, the ole school way was to do what you have done, and get more control of your tonal range, luckily these amps being solid state don't require the amount of ventilation as do tube amps. I have a JC 40, using both a 335 and a 6119 Gretsch, playing jazz & country, going to board up the back and use a ten band graphic to help get the illusive tone. Appreciate your video. Thanks
Really do not believe you will hear the difference on video. It's extremely subtle. I thought about that video but decided against it because I don't think anyone would notice a difference without being in the room with it. It was an experiment which didn't impress me enough to keep the back on. Sounds nicer without it.
Thank you!
You bet!

Thanks for the comment. If you go with the MXR 10 band I have videos on replacing those stock eye fryer stock L.E.D.'s lol
Thanks, have a JC-120, will try this, a good idea.
Did you notice an improvement when using it?
Dirty tones had better focus but the cleans were not as open, pardon the pun. Lol
Okay..Where's the comparison video ? !! ;)

Does it still hiss?
Yep.
