Hi, all sounds and arpeggiator patterns have been programmed by me.
The Blofeld has 16 arpeggiators and may assign to each of the 16 parts of a "Multi".
Right now I'm editing a short video / tutorial on multi mode operation (coming soon).

Multi-Mode is something I'd been curious and not many videos on the subject, thank you for this demo, it's perfect and demonstrates the multi-timbrality of the Blofeld nicely.. You've helped sell another one, Waldorf should send you a check.

Hi, blofeld key and blofeld desktop work differently in multi mode.
which of these do you have?
multi-mode, go to the "key range" and assigns different key ranges for each part.
maybe do a tutorial, but not too soon!

I think it sold me too. I've been on the analog bandwagon lately and dismissing this synth because of that, but the multitimbrality and the built-in effects just may sell me on it. And it sounds just as good as many analog synths on the market, like the t4tra. Plus, if I want to do some non-analog sounds, which I often do, then I've got the option. For such an old DSP synth this thing just kills. Waldorf are amazing, if I combine this with a couple gnarly analog monos and my Streichfett, beats on the mpc-1000, I'm set up to do just about anything that would be interested in doing. No computer required.

Great stuff. Are each of the multi parts on a separate midi channel and your switching midi channels on the axiom off camera? I just bought a Blofeld and am tripping on how to assign midi. Thank you. This is really inspirational.
Hi! Blofeld is configured with a different midi channel in each part, I have transposed the parts of the blofeld internally to be able to use a reduced range of keys, when I change parts in the blofeld, in the Axiom I also change parts, by doing this, the use of the Axiom is just as if it were "Blofeld Keyboard".
Blofeld is a synthesizer full of possibilities, with many tools to enjoy for a long time without getting bored ;-)
If you use the blofeld connected to a midi controller, in multi mode make sure to use the midi channel corresponding to the sound and part you want to control, check that the different parts of the blofeld have different midi channels, unless you want to control more than one sound to the time.

in "Play Sound" mode, press "Shift" and turn the "play knob" until "Tempo"
in "Play multi" press "play" and turn the "tempo" knob.

Amazing! You're saying that you can also play different tempos for each of the arpeggiator? Let's say I want to play triplets over sixteenth notes over quintuplets, can i do that with this mode?

I just bought this synth a few weeks ago, had no idea this madness could be achieved! Did you pre-plan and pre-design all of these sounds to be in this demonstration?
Hello! First I planned to create many sounds, then I chose and modified some to adapt to the context of this demo, the main idea is to create a Jam only with the Blofeld (of course controlled from an external midi keyboard) this is also possible to do with a Blo key.

Is true that Blofeld has some problems, especially in the arpeggiator of Part 10. or when you surpass polyphony. But, considering this, you can work with multi-mode Blofeld! no problem!
the arpeggiator is a world! Once you understand how it works, you can make things very interesting.

Gracias Felipe por tu comentario, Blofeld tiene un maximo de 25 voces de polifonía, pero también depende de lo complejo que sean tus sonidos los resultados que obtengas, mientras mas osciladores uses la polifonía disminuye, lo mismo pasa si usas el Unison, R.Mod o el filtro de peine, como dato aparte te recomiendo que no uses la parte 10, he notado que el blofeld no consigue mantener activa esta parte en el OS 1.15 , ahora uso el 1.16 pero no me arriesgo a usar esa parte.

+JimAward Hi there! thanks for your words, you are right! each part arp is hold mode. polyphony depends on the complexity of used patches. so there are some sounds that use an oscillator or minimizing the complexity of these sounds, the more work has been in the sequences so that the notes do not add polyphonically, allowing enough room. If you added the last sound is fixed is a pad that uses a three-note chord at a time and use 2 because if I add one more note polyphony affected and begin to buck sequences ;-)

Hi ElektroNoiser. This is really cool stuff. Thanks for that. I have one question: Normally the 16 Parts are triggered with the corresponding Midi channels. It seems to me, that you trigger the sound that is currently the active part. How do you do that? Or are you switching channel son the keyboard? Thanks man!
Hi Malte, well, I have connected a midi keyboard to my Blofeld, when I change the parties to the Blofeld, I'm changing the channels from my midi keyboard, that way the keys are corresponding to the sounds that are displayed in the screen.

ElektroNoiser the only thing keeping me from buying one is when i found out about the license SL thing costing 150$ and soundsets like 45, i dont even have a computer to load it all so that would cost me another 200 min, so im looking at 900 or more, at that point i could afford an elktron or something higher cost, unless i could acheive those type sounds from just the out of box blofeld with no extras ( of coarse no where near your skills at all) is that hypothetically possible as a beginner or would i need the license SL? I notice some demos it sounds thin so eventually i would upgrade for analog samples, but just starting out whats your advice? Sorry for the length here

Hi D Christ, I think the blofeld is a very good desktop synth for $500US. If you have an opportunity buy one with a sample SL, dont think twice!

Hola Elektronoiser, me llama la atencion de este registro la polifonia del Blofeld. Yo tengo uno y cuando uso el multi con arpegios tengo problemas con las voces porque algunas se callan cuando coinciden los "trigs" de los arpegios.
Es muy rescatable las publicaciones que haz hecho, sobre todo con el Blofeld, se agradece de verdad.
wow, what a nice demo of the capabilities of the multimode. wasn't it a pain in the ass to program the appregiator? do you encounter bugs in the Blofeld (Multimode? Style-filter?) thanks a lot for the insight!
