Fit For a King is the story behind the legendary Elvis Jumpsuits. This is truly a unique documentary, with wonderful stories about "Fame, Fashion and Friendship".
This documentary takes you behind the scenes, with unseen pictures and footage, untold stories and unique interviews, featuring Bill Belew and Todd Morgan. From the Black leather 68 suit to Ali's Elvis Robe, and from the missing Aloha cape to the last jumpsuit Elvis ever wore -- it is all here, as told by the original designers, and by Butch and Kim Polston, owners/founders of B&K Enterprises.

These guys are not only the best in the business, but also the nicest people. Working as an ETA (Elvis Tribute Artist) I've had several jumpsuits and other Elvis costumes made by B&K and nothing else comes even remotely close. You guys rock!!!

What a nice thing to say! I have to say that I vaguely remember talking with you, as I was running around like mad. But everyone was so nice last week! Elvis fans, in general, are some of the nicest, most sincere people around! We truly enjoyed our time in Memphis:) Thank you so much!

What a great story! Thanks from an Elvis fan…. I remember when Elvis came out on that stage back in the 68 special. My mom and I just gasped because Elvis looked so amazing. So glad this man worked with Elvis and suggested the all black leather outfit. It totally jump started his career to new heights!

I had the great pleasure of visiting Graceland and the Costumes on show were definitely works of art, I think they should be kept alive and fresh as you are doing......well done to you.

Elvis sure was a special man. I hope his home will not be abandoned by his great grandchildren and so on when Priscilla and Lisa Marie passed on. I hope it will remain like the white house..I am from far away New Zealand 2021. Respect to his previous designers and lovely couple you are. you are keeping him alive. I reckoned he looked out for you during your cancer becoz of the love and dedication in your 💓 for him as a fan. and keeping who he was alive with what you are doing todate. We never got to see Elvis perform live. The last time that he was in Louisville, we were engaged and Butch stood in line for hours to get us tickets to the concert. However, at that time there was no limit on how many tickets people could buy. By the time he got close to the window, all the tickets were gone!

I'd love to know if the designer of the Sundial suit (the last one he wore) had any idea that the dial had 8 large points and 16 inner small points and Elvis died on 8/16. I mean I know he knew of the points but WOW!.

ELVIS PRESLEY WAS BORN ON JANUARY THE 8th, My grandpa's birthday. And he died on August 16th, My sister-in-law's birthday.

Why hasn't this story been turned into a movie? Fascinating & entertaining. These Elvis jumpsuits are a combination of karate influence & the old Grand Ole Opry stars' jackets with the studded fringed gawdy embellishments. But only Elvis could carry them off. Nobody else could wear caped creations like these.
No one can look like Elvis. Let him RIP in Heaven.

I like how she said, "it is a lot of work making the costume. But when I am done, it feels so good.". I know the feeling. I have done similar myself and experienced the same thing. It is personal achievement that makes us happy.
Thank you so much for your kind compliment! We have always felt a deep kinship with Elvis over the years. From the very beginning, Butch wanted to be absolutely sure that we never did anything that upset any of the people involved in creating Elvis' beautiful original costume creations. They were all extremely touched that he went to so much trouble--it is rare in these days and times. I think that Elvis would have been proud to know Butch and call him a friend if he had the chance!
I have no doubt that Elvis would have counted Butch as a friend 😊

Before the internet, My mother and I spent hours looking at my books and posters etc trying to work out details like, How the collar is made and How is the cape fitted to the suit just so I could have my own suit on stage. To own a B & K would have a) saved all the work & b) been a highlight of my career. well done guys

Hello from right down the road in New Albany. I've been an Elvis fan all my life and its awesome knowing that the suits made from his original patterns are made just 10 miles from my house. I plan to come by your shop one day soon and check out all of the cool stuff if that would be ok. Its probably the closest I'll ever get to Elvis's stuff or Graceland even though I truly hope to go there one day.

I just came across this video again in 2023 and again, it’s thrilling and just amazing, and it’s another key part of the Elvis story right up til the end and beyond.

Truly enjoyed this video. Must say I preferred Elvis in the bell bottom pants and Edwardian shirts the best. Simple jumpsuits were good but then got a little too elaborate. I heard the Elvis was in the process of going back to two piece prior to his death.
