At 02:00, is there a special procedure for the deployment of the thrust reversers on the A340 ? (Inbound reversers first, then the outbound reversers)
Why was part of the engine lid coming out or loose at 0:40 when the Japanese Airlines aircraft (I believe the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner) was landing? Was it loose? Does that work as some form of reverses beside the ones on the top of the wings or something?
+JustPlanes a reply would be great. Thanks
Correct... thats the reverser opening up...
Reverse Thrust
@@ChristopherRangon That is simply the thrust reversers deploying, helps slow them down by vectoring the turbofan's thrust somewhat forwards. The devices on top of the wings are spoilers, after landing they are both air brakes creating drag to slow the plane and also they "dump off" (ie downforce) any remaining lift so all the plane's weight is put down onto the landing gear. This helps to ensure the brakes are effective. Hope this helps.
@@iamra_n3189 Thank you so much for your response! I appreciate it and understand now! :D
