      He's a distance guy. He will be a future Olympic team contender at 5000m or, if he chooses it, the 3000m Steeplechase

      I disagree. He doesn't have exceptional speed. His open 400m PB is only around 50.2, although he could probably go 49 mid right now. In that sense, he and Sahlman are very similar. The guys with the truly high ceilings are Will Sumner and Cade Flatt, who have run 45.78 and 46 high, respectively, for 400m. Harrison will probably become a 5k guy in college who may do some 1,500's, as well, sort of like Cooper Teare.

      I grew up in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming, you'd win state with that time. I have so many ribbons and medals for being such a mediocre runner. Not even "big fish, little pond". It was "little fish, tiny puddle". 😅
      It's pretty crazy seeing how fast the best-of-the-best are in California/Texas/Florida though.

      It is a state meet. Everyone should have a pb of 1:56.5 or under

      Its a different level. I showed up in college after being a mediocre high school miler. Ran the first lap in 63 and was barely holding on to the back of the pack in the 1500. I asked myself. What am I doing here? I thought the coach told me this was the slow heat.

    I was a pretty solid 800m runner in HS 20 years ago (1:58-2:02 pretty regular). Today....I'd get slaughtered.

      You would win state in the smaller divisions of the state, not the 4A 5A or 6A

    I'm astounded by hiz range, #1 all time in the state of florida at the mile (4:01) ,3200 meterz(8:46) & 800 meterz (1:48.05) he can definitely go sub 4 soon & thatz just the beginning...

      @@synchronium24 theres only 2 high schoolers in the nation running a sub 4 right now. Leo young, and Gary martin. And There have only ever been 14 high schoolers to ever break that mark. That being said still surprising at least 1 wasn’t from Florida

      @@Risingdawgjr Colin Sahlman ran 3:58 this year indoors and more recently a 3:39 for 1,500m. A couple other guys have also run sub 4 this year.

      @@ronnybeam749 Will Sumner vs. Cade Flatt. Both similar runners… Flatt has run 1:47 low with 47.07 for 400m while Sumner has run 1:48 low and recently ran 45.87 for 400m.

      I'd say Flatt wins it, Rhein or Sumner 2nd, and the Sahlmans bringing up the rear. Flatt has good speed, 11.1 for the 100, 22.6 for the 200 and 46.8 for the 400, as well as the 1:47

      The thing is Americans typically overworked and don’t last as long as Kenyan runners and don’t really get faster once they get older. Kenyans however do and most of them are better at miles they not really quarter mile lots obviously they have some great ones. But they are better at miles
