We are constantly bombarded with enticing and often infantile visions of romantic love which lure so many onto the rocks of divorce. It's so refreshing to have a lucid clear and intuitively compelling vision af the constituents of the real thing. Its simply one of the most important contributions ever made to our understainding of intimacy and adult love. It is also one of the most practical and empowering theories I've employed in treatment. Dr. John Bowlbys work has been validated with research by Mary Ainsworth in London, Mary Main at UC Berkeley, Peter Fonagy, and dozens of other peer reviewed research papers. Also, all the neuroscience research done in the past 20 yrs. confirm Dr. bowlbys findings. Too short we need to bring his work to the masses. To know your and others insecurites plus gestalt cycles of contact can really help with our interpersonal relationships. More john Bowlby!
