I used to live on the North Fork of the Snoqualmie River in the mid 70's. On occasion they would put the "boards" up just above Snoqualmie Falls in late summer when water flow was down and completely stop the water going over the falls for hydro useage. Then it became just another rock cliff face, like any other. What a shame! I hope they don't still do that!

That would be a shame, any water flow is better than none. I believe I read that they must maintain a minimum flow now for environmental reasons.
