How to make your own Wedding Dress DIY Part 4 | Sewing In the Zipper
I put the ribbon over the zipper that I have previously opened and sew it on moving along the edge with the one-sided zipper presser foot.
And I sew down the other side of the zipper tape, too. Then I swap the one-sided foot for the invisible zipper presser foot and put the mesh face side up.
I place the zipper on the mesh, align it with the edge of the cut, place it all under the presser foot and start sewing. Beware not to stretch out the mesh!
I close the sewn-on zipper. It looks very pretty: instead of zipper teeth you can see a strap of nude colour overlaid by a decorative white ribbon.
I will sew button pearls onto the ribbon - they are perfect for this particular dress.
I switch back to the regular presser foot and sew down the central seam below the zipper
