- We’ll be taking you behind the magic of Disenchanted! What went into the making of this sequel to Enchanted from Walt Disney Studios? We will be discussing the longstanding friendship between Maya Rudolph and Amy Adams, and the reason why Maya Rudolph felt as though she were training for a marathon when it came to the choreography to some of these songs. Songwriters Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz have promised that Disenchanted will be more musical than ever, having written seven new songs for the film! Idina Menzel returns to Disney after having cemented herself as an animated icon in the role of Queen Elsa in Frozen, and this time around she is getting her own musical solo. Idina Menzel is reunited with Stephen Schwartz, who she has worked with previously in the musical Wicked, and Alan Menken has teased that one of the songs in Disenchanted is inspired by the song Defying Gravity from Wicked. Griffin Newman had only a single weekend to prepare for the role of Pip, who in this movie has been magically transformed into a cat instead of a CGI chipmunk. Patrick Dempsey, of Grey’s Anatomy fame, expressed his fear of singing alongside Amy Adams and Idina Menzel (who would have thought that Dr. McDreamy is even capable of stagefright?) Gabriella Baldacchino was surprised with her casting. Amy Adams spoke with Jimmy Fallon about her difficulties taking to the choreography. Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz reveal their retro inspiration for the new music in Disenchanted, taking influence from the music of Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs as well as Disney’s Cinderella.

This movie is spectacular, yes the cast may be old, but that's what makes the movie more realistic, it shows life after their happily ever after, and how time moves in reality vs in fairytales.
Disenchanted manages to recapture the same magic from the original, and as others said it's definitely more of a continuation than a sequel but that's what makes it so good! The songs are memorable and catchy, especially Badder, Amy Adams/Maya Rudolph really shine here and continue to steal the show throughout. So impressed with the beautiful set design and detail they've put in each & every frame. Stunning & charming, this is the perfect sequel and I'm thoroughly impressed that 15 years later Disney have managed to create an impressive conclusion to this enchanted tale.
Being from Ireland myself, it was great to see places that I've regularly gone to on screen.
The actress who played Morgan, Gabriella Baldachinno, was absolutely fantastic.
I agree, I can't believe that it's one of her first screen roles, she did superbly well nevertheless.

Well hopefully I am hoping that they all reprise their iconic roles and create a third installment of this movie. The movie would be entitled : Disney's enchanted 4 Morgan's magical wedding
The child you pointed to isn't Amy Adams real life Daughter. Her Daughter appears in a later scene.
Just for my own peace of mind and curiosity why was Adina menzel's song get cut from the ending of the first Enchanted movie?
Just thought you should know that you mispronounced Idina every single time. Not John Travolta bad, but still pretty bad.
