Yeah as someone who had been to multiple saunas, the infra-red one is always nice, because it really wanna you up from the inside, but it's not too hot. I'll need a warmer one to make me break a sweat🤣

The fact that the float tank thing is supposed to help anxiety but the thought of being in one gives me anxiety.
Thank you! I was looking for a comment like this. Also, I have balance issues and hate floating horizontally in water. I'm also overweight and don't know how to swim. The whole idea of a float tank stressed me out a lot.

As someone who suffers with chronic pain and other hidden diseases. It’s so nice to see this series. I am always interested in seeing the relief felt by those testing out different methods. It’s strangely satisfying.

The practise of jumping into icy water from a hot sauna is thousands of years old Finnish tradition, that is still alive in moder-day Finland. We make an avanto, hole into the ice of a lake or sea and swim there, swapping between sauna and water. Can I ask how the sticks exfoliate the body? They seem rather impractical and as if they would only hit certian areas. I hope this doesn't sound ignorant as I'm a big fan of traditional and natural medicines and remedies.

Yes! Even though I suffer with an invisible pain, I still had to remind myself that Zach is also in constant pain. This series is SO exciting, and I'm so thankful he has a platform to talk about these issues and even make it fun for people who don't suffer with these issues so that everyone learns about them. I don't have AS but my medication (biological immunossupressant) is used for AS too!
I wish all of this was possible for us that has a low income and struggle with chronic pain and or mental issues. Seems like an amazing break from reality.
Float tanks are 30-60 an hour.

Imagine going into that spa thinking you’re going to have a nice chill day and you just hear manic screaming.
'When you're in so much pain, you are willing to try just about anything', so much truth to that. However, I'm not very convinced these methods will offer long term relief. I know when I'm in excruciating pain, anything that really shocks my body like extreme temperature change can give a few minutes relief, but the problem like Zach said at the end, I'm still in pain once it's over.
So true! Also, it was really weird seeing the Google promotion focusing on thinking critically about what you see online followed by a bunch of "wellness" treatments that don't have a lot of scientific evidence.
And for me personally once the relief from the shock is gone I'm actually in more pain. Especially if something has made me cold. The cold makes my pain 10× worse. I am interested in trying the infrared without going to the cold though not because I think it will help long term but it looks like it will feel nice and anything that reduces my pain for a few minutes is a relief.

I really adore the Try Guys and how they always support Zach on this series. As someone who struggles with chronic pain it’s so relieving to see it being talked about and learn about different treatments. The fact that the guys are always there to support Zach and try these things with him makes me so emotional everytime. It seems little but to someone who struggles to find support like that it gives me so much hope.

Right?! I watched a bit of an older video the other day and he looks so different now! In a good way too like it's insane how good his hair looks.
Was the hair transplant the only thing he did? As a woman with scarring alopecia (basically hair loss that most likely won’t grow back) I’m devastated and really looking for options that actually work.
Anyone else notice that Zach's looking stronger? Like he's packed on some muscle, I know he mentioned he had started to workout to gain some so it's nice to see that it's working for him. It's already difficult to live with chronic pain so to also workout and stay active with chronic pain merits some recognition.

I felt this, pal. I walk my dog at least three times a day by necessity, but if I'm able to do housework on top of that then I'm having a great day.
I can't do most workouts because they're too high impact, but I really, REALLY appreciate Sleepy Santosha yoga videos because she does "spoonie yoga" routines for people like us. She deals with chronic pain herself and it impacts how she teaches.
And you're right, Zack does look better! He's always had a great attitude about AS for a Try Guy, in that he doesn't push himself to unhealthy limits for the sake of keeping up with his friends. Knowing your limits, taking care of your mental health, and finding joy and humor wherever possible are exactly the kind of behaviors younger spoonies need in a role model.

Don't know the science behind it or if it's been proven true, but over here in Nordics people have been doing this for a very long time. Esp. people with chronic conditions causing chronic pain. We just do it mainly with traditional sauna and natures waters. Preferably in the winter when the plunge pool is cut through the ice. Many people have it in their weekly/daily routine. Even my local public swimming pool has cold plunge pools in them. Maybe we're just masochists by nature 🤷♀️

I actually tried float therapy last week. I hated it! Salt got in my eyes and stung, and that painless feeling the place told me I'd feel was BS - if anything it made my back ache more as there was nothing supporting it. Maybe I did it wrong, who knows, but I won't be in a rush to try it again!

I hope you don't mind, but would I be able to ask what is chronic pain? Is it a pain where it would maybe be a constant stomach cramp, or is it more of an ache in your bones? I hope I don't sound ignorant, I just have terrible, terrible, constant back pain and I wanted to know what the difference is between that and chronic pain.

I have chronic pain and fibromyalgia, and infrared saunas have been the only thing that really helps. Thank you Zach for doing these videos and raising awareness for chronic illnesses💙💙

They vary in size, but the typical tank is 8′ long and 4.5′ wide and have only about 12 inches of water in them!

It's terrifying for farenheit, too. A severe polar vortex storm in the USA makes the windchill between -5 and -25 °F. That can shut down entire states. so -220°F is wild.

it would help if they did actually say what it is in Celsius, since you know, most of the world uses Celsius.
