I'm still pretty sure that Hashirama didn't have enough malice in him to plot against his wife's Clan. Tobirama is a different story, but I think that both of the two had been dead for a while at the time of the Uzumaki Clan Massacre. Hiruzen was in charge by then... so my best guess as to who was _actually_ responsible? Danzo. _Everything_ is Danzo's fault.

@@treyadman6458 @Trey Adman You're definitely misremembering something. Kushina made it to Konoha only a few years before the Land of Whirlpools was destroyed; if this was during the First Shinobi World War, she'd be from the same age-group as the Legendary Sannin. This is objectively not the case; we know that Kushina and Minato were from the generation who grew up during the _Second_ Shinobi World War, with Minato specifically ending up on Team Jiraiya around the end of that conflict. So Hiruzen was running the show already, and both Hashirama and Tobirama were dead.

If Kushina came to Konoha before the massacre that would mean Hiruzen would have been hokage at that time. If that is correct then I am betting that Danzo had a hand in this like every other disaster in that universe. Hashirama is so much like Naruto, so in no way would he allow something to happen to the Uzumaki and I would think that Tobirama would like to keep the Uzumaki around since his brother was dead. The time of the third hokage is the only time I could see some shady stuff happening to allow other clans to move through the land of fire to take out a potential threat meaning this was 100% Danzo's doing.

He would absolutely not see them as weapons (even though they are). This man was the same guy who wanted to give away all the Tailed Beasts for free just because he wanted to make friends. He would have been dead by the time Kushina was moved to the Leaf (his wife Mito was alive). Hiruzen would have been Hokage when Kushina and Minato were kids. Speaking of slaughtered clans, what if someone with enough chakra and understanding of Edo Tensei decided to pull a Blackest Night on the Naruto universe. So, they hire mercenaries to track down and obtain a massive amount of corpses. Then, using said Kinjutsu, they bring back clans that have been wiped out simply due to others' fear of their power. Vengeful for their clan's destruction, they all form a village lead by the Edo Tensei user called The Village Hidden Beyond the Grave. Idk where such a village would be located, but that would be a scary strong village considering they couldn't die, only sealed away.

Given the estimated timing of the massacre it's pretty safe to say that Hashirama and definitely Tobirama were dead when it happened- I'm assuming that means Mito had to be to. In fact it's extremely likely that Mito's death greenlit the Uzumaki clan Massacre because I doubt she would've allowed the leaf to sit idly by while her home was destroyed, and with her dead there would be no one of any significance (Kushina was just a child and a jinchuriki at the time so no influence or importance) that has ties to the clan in the leaf. And we know that Hiruzen isn't above letting his pitbull (Danzo) off his leash to do his dirty work so I could see under Hiruzen's leadership the Uzumaki massacre happened.
This would all be a lot simpler if we had a concrete Naruto timeline for the events predating the series but that's probably never going to happen because it would mean Kishimoto retconing the retcons just to make everything sort of fit.

The thing is, only a pureblood Uzumaki can use the chains and only the pureblood Uzimaki have red hair. So, if none have red hair that stand out, either one of two things; 1. only a small amount of them were left alive and because of that, there are no more pure bloods, which would mean they wouldn't have to fear becoming ninja because it would never be obvious that they ARE Uzumaki, or 2. there ARE pure bloods left (I mean, Karin is around the same age as Naruto and she's a pureblood so its possible), and they dye their hair to hide the fact that they're Uzumaki's or they've been living in secret and only allow half blood Uzumaki's leave and conduct business on the outside while they've been slowly building up their numbers over time.

My guess is that the Leaf Village decided to turn a blind eye to the Uzumaki's destruction and only had great relations with the clan because they were incredibly strong. Their relation was more of a business one. In the manga, Kushina described her clan to Naruto as having a "savage" side, which means even she understands her clan had a dark side. They very easily gave up Kushina to the Leaf to become a Jinchuriki without her agreeing to do so. I don't think the Uzumaki were very wholesome, hence the "savage" line from Kushina. The other villages saw them as a very obvious threat. The Uzumaki had the power to casually summon a god of death and seal even the strongest tailed beasts, and this insanely wide arsenal of powerful jutsu gave the Uzumaki similar abilities as the Rinnegan, like Rinnegan Lite. All the villages (not including the Leaf) put their own conflict aside to team up against the Uzumaki. Maybe the Leaf understood of this team up plan and stayed out of it because they low key saw the clan as volatile and didn't care if they got eliminated. Hashirama was most likely already dead by the time of their downfall and knowing him he would definitely back them up and try to argue for peace using words. He was the same guy who tried to gift the other Nations all his tailed beasts for free.
If you think about it, every Uzumkai we have met is incredibly emotional and passionate. They take zero bs from others and stand up for themselves while saying what is on their mind. Naruto is always jumping into battle without clear strategy and he rudely never shuts up (I love this about him), Kushina threw hands with her bullies and loudly announces her plans to be Hokage on her first day at the academy, Karin never shuts up about her insane love for Sasuke and she is always over dramatic over petty squabbles. Nagato LOVED his friends (Yahiko and Konan) and completely lost it when Danzo (ofcourse it's Danzo) forces Yahiko to stab himself which resulted in Nagato gaining this weird and broken ideology that everyone needs to feel pain and share it so he saw himself being fully in the right in killing innocents (even though him inflicting so much pain makes him the cause of the cycle of hatered continuing with no end, which is why Naruto killed him with kindness and love).

I have a very strange theory when it comes the Uzumaki. I think that since they were so great at sealing jutsu, that most of the strongest members were sealed away in case they were needed for battle. I think that the village they lived in only had a small number of the clan living there since most are sealed away. When the massacre happened a few people gathered up the scrolls sealing most of the Uzumaki fled. I think most of them set up a new hidden village, and recruited another clan that is also thought to extinct, the clan that Jugo belongs to, a few of the clan would refuse to join the Uzumaki and would leave. But this would mean that both clans would be extinct because they would have created a new family line the amazing chakra pools and sealing jutsu and the ability to absorb natural energy becoming pseudo sage like the toads who can add natural energy to their jutsu. The Uzumaki would have figured a way to seal unused natural energy into the body without transforming or expending it maybe like the diamond shaped seal , but instead of just one they'd be filling multiple ones spreading the energy equally so when the pop one they have more to fall back on. Making them the ultimate Ninja for stamina and long drawn out fights

Meaning that an uzumaki could fight by using the mask , summon the shinigami and the shinigami could strike you with his blade, and cut away or seal away your soul, the enemy could not see the shinigami nor the attack until its too late.

She has red hair and when she is reunited with Sasuke Uchiha near the end of the 4th ninja war, her adamantine chains come out even though it is a single chain, also as you mentioned a single common trait of the Uzumaki clan is their red hair. Even Kabuto, when he is fighting Sasuke and Itachi, says that Karin is part of the Uzumaki clan.

It's worth noting that, IRL, red hair is a very recessive trait.
Mixing red haired alleles with the alleles of any other other hair pigments will default the child's hair to that more dominant color.
Meaning a pregnancy between a redhead and anything else will either pass on a dormant red hair allele that will defer to the dominant hair color, or two redhead alleles (which is the only combination that results in the red pigment)
It's why two redheaded parents will always produce redheaded children.
Or why a blonde and a brunette could produce a redheaded child _assuming_ that both parents either had their own redheaded parent or a parent that passed a dormant redheaded allele to them.

I really wish they would've had Karin and Naruto start a relationship. Not a romantic or sexual one, but a familial one. They're the last 2 known Uzumaki and Naruto literally saved Karin which led to a moment of Karin admiring Naruto and commenting on his beautiful and warm chakra/aura. Karin also could've taught Naruto about their family history and some of the Uzumaki clan's secret techniques/sealing jutsu. It just would've been a very interesting story to explore and given Naruto that familial connection he always craved but never had. The fact that Karin has a lot of similarities to Kushina in terms of looks and personality would also make it even more believable. Just seems like a huge missed opportunity, especially since they know each other exists and that they share clan ties. Aunt Karin also would've been interesting to see with her chaining up Boruto and lecturing him.

There are only two islands near the Land of Fire which are both to the east and since the Great Naruto Bridge connects Waves to the Land of Fire horizontally, it should be the closest island in the east.
As such, the island of the Land of Waves appears to be the same one indicated to be the Land of Whirlpools.
The Land of Whirlpools was home to the Uzumaki Clan, a clan descended from the Sage of Six Paths and the foremost experts of fuuinjutsu. After the hidden villages were formed, the Uzumaki Clan created Uzushiogakure by taking small clans and families under their wing to increase their power base. They had a strong alliance with their distant relatives, the Senju, but chose to keep the island nation as their home rather than move to become a part of Konoha. The Uzumaki were essentially the rulers of the Land of Whirlpools.
But their prowess with fuuinjutsu caused them to become greatly feared during the Shinobi World Wars. This was only exacerbated by their willingness to share their knowledge with the Senju and their unusually long lives which armed their elders with the greatest well of knowledge and experience for the art.
By the end of the Second Shinobi War, Uzushio and the Uzumaki were destroyed. The survivors were scattered as they fled their homeland, fearing that the rest of them would be hunted for their knowledge. Kushina, fortunately, had already been sent to Konoha become the Nine-Tails Jinchuuriki but the loss of her homeland and family was a terrible blow.
The Land of Whirlpools was left ravaged and bereft of all leadership and shinobi.
Eventually, the island nation began to recuperate as victims of war sought out a land that would keep them away from conflict. Without Uzushio, the Land of Whirlpools held little value and was far enough out-of-the-way that there was no reason for shinobi to be there. As the settlers came and built atop the ruins of the hidden village, the island was renamed the Land of Waves to signify its new beginnings.
It actually managed to become a prosperous, little country through its shipping industry. But this changed when the wealthy shipping magnate, Gatou, seized control of their shipping through money and violence. He gained a monopoly on all business traffic and the entire country entered poverty, including the feudal lord.
But a year later, Gatou was killed and a bridge was built from the Land of Waves to the Land of Fire which served as a major boost to the economy. The country managed to become more prosperous than ever before.

You keep saying in this video that Hashirama turned the other way leaving the Land of Waves vulnerable to attack. However, when Kushina arrived in Konoha her country and clan was still intact. Meaning that at that time Hiruzen the 3rd Hokage was in charge, not Hashirama. Hashirama was already dead as well as Tobirama by the time Kushina arrived at Konoha. And seeing how the "evil Hokage" Danzo was alive and kicking, and plotting, it wouldn't be a stretch to assume that Danzo had some role to play in the fall of the Uzumaki's. Also, I may not know where it was listed, but where did you find the information that the other 4 countries attacked and destroyed the Uzumaki's? I looked around and I can't find this anywhere.

it was during hiruzens rule that the uzumaki died [like all the other clan problems] and we know that leaf was fighing everyone in the 3rd war and uzumaki died before he start of the war so we can make it like this on one side madara who was controlling the mist planned the attack [as they were very strong and could seal things so madara felt the need to take out a possible threat to i plans] and the leaf which wasnt prepared for war left the uzumaki on their own [we know no matter how good they try to be but hiruzen and danzo were willing to sac uzu and any other clan if it meant konoha had an advantage] and maybe danzo leaked some important vilage info like how the sealing barrier of uzu works [the barrier used by leaf was made by uzu and is one of the best compared to other villages so uzu had a great barrier that made attacking it almost suicide ] and with this info the 4 villages will focus on uzu while konoha starts preparing for war and in the attack uzu fell but they also managed to take out a major portion of the attackers leaving the other villages at a lower position than konoha with no losses and had time to counterattack so basically they sacked uzu to prepare for they inevitable war against the short lived alliance between the other villages nd i think the sand was not involved in the attack as its stated that the war happed due to many reasons like
the missing 3rd kazekage , the destruction of uzu the border skirmishes 'with other village and the hatred of the last war and i think the war was started by madara to take out every problem that could happen when he starts collecting bijju and tha fact that almost all village had some problems internally and externally

      2) Kiba received Akamaru when he was super young, if Akamaru was 1, Kiba would've been 5. From what we see of kiba's life, he seemed to be very independent. Doing a lot of things on his own, so presumably a 5-year-old(with his personality) wouldn't be able to properly teach a puppy that skill.
