The sad thing is that we never seen a Byakugan Vs Sharingan match. Remember, when Neji was introduced, it was said his Byakugan rivaled if not surpassed the Sharingan. Kishimoto really dropped the ball on substantiating that claim.
Well, it really depends do we mean simple Sharingan or Mangeke? Simple Sharingan would be beaten, like if Neji fought Sasuke on Chunin exams, Sasuke winning chances would be slim. But Mangeke is so OP, not even taking it's abilities you always got an alive god-like Susanno armour... To compete with this Huyga should be a genius.
Actually Huyga clan is seriously underperforming in Naruto, they could be ideal assasins, they could do investigations, they could combine their fighting style with elements ( like Kakashi did), or with weapons ( like Samurai),they could be best medics, they could be a perfect counter to puppetiers just cutting connections between puppet and master... Maybe they even could shoot enemies with their chakra...
Yea the one fight that never happened that should have happened but I feel like sasuke would have lost to neji and that’s why the fight never happened because then it would have undermined the Sharingan

The Hyuuga would have been able to see that Kurama was under genjutsu by using their Byakugan. Ao, a non Hyuuga member with a byakugan was able to see that the forth mizukage was under genjutsu. So the Hyuuga could have seen that Kurama was under genjutsu, along with the knowledge that the sharingan can control the nine tails, and could have fed that information to Danzo and Hiruzen.
As much as that sucks that it realistically could've happened it would be valid for them to have told him that. Knowing that they also cared about Konoha and that Kurama can be controlled with either wood release or the sharingan it would make sense for them to mention it to someone.
Actually the opposite is true. Konoha knew Kurama was inside a genjutsu and the one who had controll was an Uchiha, so it could have been any Uchiha they didn't know who Obito(aka masked man was). So any way you look at it an Uchiha led Kurama to destroy the village.

Senju married into other families, making Konoha the senju village and by proxi, all the clans married into senju's village too. It is really a brilliant move. But one that also divides konoha in all the clans that share senju blood, and all the clans that doesn't. And ofcause revolt came from one of the clans that didn't intermarry with the senju, namely the Uchiha.

With how arrogant the Uchiha clan seemed in Tsunade's tsukuyomi dream, are we sure people didn't see the massacre coming and turn a blind eye to it? Like sauske was the only surviver so it's not like people would start pestering him for answers. Also you're telling me out of an entire clan not ONE person was out clapping cheeks outside the compound the night it happened and survived because of it?

Hyugas are so underappreciated and can be perfect for so many roles but they're basically used as tracker types lol. even though they'd be perfect for many roles but the perfect squad would prob be a Tracker type(Hyuga, Inuzaka, or aberame), a medical ninja, and strong offensive types in the 3rd member and captain. But they would be perfect in close range and defensive role as well. They'd probably be as good at policework as the Uchihas were.
I think what give the Uhiha an edge as the police force is that Genjustu is a non-violent way to supress someone, especially some super human that could cause a lot of damages around otherwise.
And, the Uchiha may have been given the role because they are also one of the founder clan and who knows, they may have historically have a more peaceful territory than other ninja clan. We dont really know how the things were during the warring state period, but I am going to guess that some ninja clan may not have been that great with the civilians of the lands near their hideout and all, being maybe more like some kind of Yakuza or thugs.
But, the Uchiha may have historically been pretty good at both, defending the land where their clan lived, and been well loved by the civilians of the area, because they kept the place peaceful, maybe also doing so whenever they took some land to other clans. If they had a historical record, I would entrust them with what we know they are very good at, when the village is taking babysteps.
Even if they did see they would not and could not do anything without order as they were told to spy on and nothing more. The Hyuga would not actively plot or even want one of the strongest and oldest clans of their village to disappear as it would mean their village loses a large portion of it's power.

@Justin Arzola not sure i agree with that statement i don't think they ever viewed eachother as rivals and we're never really given anything to believe that in the anime or manga to my knowledge. I think they both knew that each of them served as powerful protectors of the leaf and had respect for one another. I don't think the Hyuga would've just slaughtered them because of that fact, i think it would've taken the truth of the situation straight from Hiruzen's mouth along with the order to kill them to get them to lay a finger on the Uchiha clan. Personally i think that's all the clans in Konoha as Konoha was unique amongst the shinobi villages it's clans and people are seemingly closer and more unified. The only corrupted parts of any clan came from Danzo and his Root program.

Imagine if Danzo approached Hiashi and he let Hinata get trained under danzo since she was considered a failure as the next heir to the main branch, so he wouldn’t care if danzo took her to become an anbu. Danzo’s brutal training changes Hinata physically and mentally, and now she’s more confident in her abilities. She would kind of be like the version of Hinata from the road to ninja movie in terms of confidence, but still have a quiet, but deadly demeanor. That would have been a cool alternative universe idea, I would love to see that animated

I would love to get a video that explores the potential power-levels of shisui. He had the Genjutsu to change his entire clan's mindset, his eyes were used to help Itachi break free of Edo Tensei's control, and he had the body flicker technique, which created mass-less clones that could hit targets; And, not much is known about him.

I’d add that he was fast enough to warrant him being famous for that, rather than the fact that he’s an uchiha or has the sharingan. Which is impressive when you consider that Kakashi became famous for that alone, Shisui must have been pretty fast with that body flicker. The problem is that he has only ever been directly compared with itachi, and both were very young at the time. And itachi, as strong as he is, it’s also really hard to quantify due to most of his fears outside the first light novel being him while sick, and those that weren’t were when he was a kid. Shisui has the same problem, his feats were all when he was a kid or dead. Strong, for sure, but really hard to quantify without grasping at straws unfortunately.
My biggest problem with the surveillance cameras is can you honestly tell me a sharingan can’t pick up infrared red light emitted by said cameras

A lot of the Uchiha have unlocked m-sharingan throughout history before Fugaku. This is suggested both in the flashbacks explaining the power and the origins of the izanami, a jutsu developed to stop the wide spread use of the izanagi, another mongekyo jutsu.
Izanami and Izanagi are a 3 tomoe sharingan ability.
@@Blanoble fair enough. Nonetheless, as explained in the Madara backstory many Uchiha had mongekyo and we're killing brothers, fathers and sisters to gain the eternal mongekyo by taking their eyes, so I guess point still stands.

There are a lot of theories on the Hyuga like this. There was one I saw a long time ago while the original series was still coming out that said Hinata's dad saw how she liked Naruto and realized their offspring would be a god so he made sure they became a thing. Which as we now know ended up coming true.

Beside the theory or what ever, it's still a rational decision for Hiashi to allow Hinata to wed Naruto from his perspective. Who parents doesn't want their kid to marry the strongest and the most enfluencing person in the world at that time to begin with. Hyuga clan power and influence will skyrocket for letting his future head of the clan to marry Naruto.

Nah he definitely does engage in grand scale murder if he wants to . Obito went out of his way to find the original akatsuki , full of war orphans . Had deformed white zetsu fight them before slaughtering them all with wood style . He slaughtered a whole company in the 4th war too just cause he could when he had element of surprise and intangibility when he got the gourds with ginkaku and kinkaku inside back ,. Even before that lmao, the OG topic of this video the nine tails attack that lead to the uchihas downfall is one of the biggest grand scale murders he did and he wasn’t even provoked , he just was creeping around the leaf for months after his death, happened to hear kushina was pregnant one day and went Full Pain lmao.
Even if Hyuga helped uchiha that night they would stand no chance against obito/itachi combo. Itachi alone solos, Obito is just overkill.I think they were just smart enought to not engage.
If Obito wanted to though, he probably could have massacred all the Hyuga by himself. The Hyuga have zero ways of hitting Obito as Obito can just phase through all their Gentle Fist attacks. Obito would just cut them up with a sword or use Wood Style to impale them. No Hyuga shown on screen is fast enough to give Obito trouble because Obito was strong and fast enough to single-handedly annihilate an ANBU platoon from the mist when he was 13. Enough to threaten Minato when he was 14. By the Uchiha Massacre, he's 8 years stronger than when he fought Minato.

@@quentinjones6877 Although it wouldn't have been Sharinghan vs Byakugan, since *Neji was from the older class with advanced skills and training and the first to become Jonin, while Sasuke had his butt kicked by Neji inferior team mate; Rock Lee* with his Sharinghan seeing the attack coming but he still couldn't react.

Random thought: wouldn’t it make more sense for the inuzuka clan to be the police of the village instead of the uchiha? They can sniff out criminal evidence and have great sensory skills alongside their nin-kin
Naruto fact for die hard fans: billable leaders didn’t trust the hyuga and made them police force to keep them together and seperate so they could never get higher rankings then what they were. So yes naturally it makes more sense but because there was 0 trust for the uchiha they were pushed out.

I think that the Uchiha and Inuzuka are two different side of being in the police. The inuzuka would be better fit to track down criminals after they ran away, something the Hyuga could have helped too. But, this implies a crime was already made.
The Uchiha on the other hand ? They are more of the prevention type, preventing the incident from happening all together. They can supress the criminal with genjustu, as a result there would be no fight. If there is no fight, no injured policemen, civilians, not even the criminal would be injured there !
And, originally, the Uchiha were likely given the position because Konoha, when it was just created, would need for something to calm down any fight between the clan. The Senju could do it, but it would come with destruction caused by both side to the village. The Uchiha, though, the cofounder of Konoha, could calm the situation down just by activating their sharingan and putting people under genjustu.
This is better, for a newly created village with people from clans who were until recently still fighting each other. They came to Konoha knowing full well that the Uchiha and Senju are the one who made the village. It make sense for the two clan to have more power as they would try to lay out the foundation for a peaceful future. And, well, most of those structures ? They were made by Tobirama and Hashirama. So, once again, if they were to also be the police force, it would likely annoy the Uchiha very much so.
Heck, for all we know, Tobirama may have intended that the Uchiha being the main police force was a temporary measure. That once the village would be stable, they could talk about it with the Uchiha to allow other clans to take charge, at least on part of the job they are better suited for... or just to lessen the burden on the Uchiha (Ex : Yamanaka in charge of interogation, instead of the Uchiha, because they can read mind. Inuzuka to track down runaway nin or criminal with their nose, with possible help from the Hyuga too).
Tobirama may have died before they could do it. He became Hokage after his brother''s death at the start of the 1st shinobi world war and died near the end of said war. Konoha needed to be stable on the inside when facing enemy outside. He couldn't change how the structure worked then and may have died before he could do it.
The Uchiha may even have had precedence on keeping the land under them peaceful during the most chaotic time of Naruto's history, the Warring State period, for all we know. If so, yeah, let the guys who clearly know what they are doing handling it rather than putting amateurs. In which case, Tobirama asking them to do it... is a genuine acknowledgement to their own skills and abilities. It is saying Nobody here would be able to do a job even half as good as what you can do. So, protect our home and future, just like you did in the past, for your own clan and territory" (I am sorry, but I think if I was an Uchiha there and I would hear someone who was my enemy for so long, praise the skill and history of my clan and entrust to us one of the most important task for Konoha to even exist, I would be very flattered.)

I think on an individual basis the top of the Uchiha were way stronger than the top of the Hyuga. Once you have Susanoo it's basically game over. But on a clan basis the Hyuga's were a lot stronger.
From what I remember the 3 dot sharingan was very rare and anything beyond that was even rarer. That leads me to believe the vast majority of Uchiha were stuck in 1 or two dots. Which is great but not that useful.
Their sight at that level wasn't more powerful than a Byakugan and their ability to copy techniques was only as useful as their ability to use them in combat with their chakra reserves. As for genjutsu well that simply won't work against an active Byakugan.
The Hyuga's were much more uniform. You were a hyuga descendant you had the Byakuga. There was no doubt about it. The only thing that would differ on an individual basis was their creativity in using their eyes just like any technique and their range.
Still I didn't see anything that could stand up to Susanoo from the Hyuga's.
@@pinecactus9672 Heck, all Hyuga have the Byakugan, while the Uchiha aren't even born with the sharingan. They have to awaken it. So, there are Uchiha that may have lived all their lives without a sharingan.
@@orianefaton1885 thays correct, at least it was early in the Naruto anime before it went crazy. i remember (hopefully correctly) that there was no guarantee an uchiha would have the sharingan and even if they had it there was no guarantee they would awaken it or go beyond level 1 or 2.

Wow, and now the Hyuuga clan is sitting pretty as one of their members is the wife of the current Hokage, and their descendant members have some of the most broken potential in general.
Must have been a Hyuga's shift for watching the video cameras that night as well. The first time I saw a map of Konoha I had the same thought about how did no one - Hyuga's, Yamanaka's, any sensor in the village - raise the alarm bell. The cloak and dagger stuff was always intriguing, but I guess Kishimoto thought fighting aliens would be a better direction to take the series.

the same thing can apply to the rest of the hunting/scouting specialty clans then (inuzuka and aburame). the aburame clan most likely has their bugs stationed around the village. the inuzuka could *potentially* smell the blood from their clan compound but since they are in a shinobi village it's unlikely they would do anything about it. hiruzen also allowed danzo to let the whole thing go down, if I believe correctly the root agents were supposed to take down the clan and then disband. danzo went behind his back and manipulated itachi to be the one to do it, then when he reported back to hiruzen, plans got revised and led to itachi being a spy in the Akatsuki for konoha. the hyuuga clan is considered one of their prized and noble clans, hence why kumo's delegates (I think that's the term) stayed with them during the "peace meeting". after the kidnapping its highly logical that more guards were put in place to stop future kidnappings of their clan members. this guard team would comprise of branch members, as the main house would either be too "prideful" or their abilities would be much more useful somewhere else. the only real "genius" that came out of the branch house was shown to be Neji and potentially Hizashi (there's theories that he let his Hiashi win the deciding match on who will be the clan head out of love, he did the same thing when he sacrificed himself for Hiashi). The hyuuga clan's branch house was heavily weakened by the main house such as withholding family techniques such as the kaiten (rotation defense neji used during the chunin exam) and the seal itself. neji, despite being a genius has a range of 10x *LESS* than Hinata's. Hinata definitely worked for the range but Neji works just as hard to keep us both his reputation as a genius and is on a team with Gai of all people, who definitely didn't want to see his students sitting around. This can show that the seal essentially downgrades the abilities of the byakugan but that's a whole other thing to unravel. You can say that "oh yeah Neji was in the branch house and therefore weaker in some sense to genes of the dojutsu" but Neji and Hinata are cousin's their fathers being twins. Back to the main point the Uchiha clan lived in the outskirts of the village after the Kyuubi attack, I would see no reason why Hiashi or anyone for that matter in the hyuuga clan that's not standing guard (guards would be branch members with lower range around 1km or 1000 meters max) to activate their byakugan to such an extent. Mind you this is their maximum range, they can't just turn on their eye powers and instantly see and comprehend a "360" space reaching to 1000s of meters away. For that matter, why would they just spy on the Uchiha clan in the dead of night for no reason. There are definitely laws or regulations in place for ninja to not spy on clans and the such to protect the clan secrets (the anbu went against this with the orders of the hokage because it was speculated from Shisui's intel that the uchiha were planning a coup). if you managed to read this whole thing feel free to comment any questions and stuff or correct me most of my knowledge is mixed in with fanon so I'm not sure what's confirmed or not.

A note on the whole noble clans thing.
The clans would have existed in the elemental nations long before the villages came in to existence, and some of the richest and most influential would have had good reason to work directly with the daimyos of the past.
The Aburame would have been very wealthy as textile merchants, selling silks to the wealthy.
The Akimichi would have been very wealthy from running *most* of the resturants to exist at the time.
The Hyuuga would have been very wealthy because they're excellent spies.
The Uchiha would have been very wealthy by providing high level military support to the land of fire.
I think it makes a lot more sense for nobility to be a remnant of a time when clans served daimyos directly than anything that came up after the villages formed.
You should start a series based off of Marvel: What If?. I think a good name for it could be Naruto: What If?. This could create some crazy what if scenarios!

@@alexzero3736 you could go that route but idk if he has the power to do it to all of the clan, which for story sake could lead to important deaths like sasukes family still dying but alot of the clan lives with Sasuke so there's extra contempt with itachi.
You could also go the obito vs young itachi and end that as a tie leaning obito (just cause age gap and Maderas assistance) and them bring the Uchiha to Madera. Then go large army scale in narutos time
It's mean the Leaf would be under a civil war with Uchiha. Something that Itachi, Hiruzen, and everyone beside Uchiha didn't want it. Uchiha was already at the peak of their rebellious mindset to coup at that time before the massacre, many Uchiha it's not as nice or calm as Shisui and Itachi. This civil war will also can possibly trigger a 4th great ninja war to come much early but with a different conflict (unlike the OG 4th Ninja war in the story we follow). If every great nation sees Konoha is weakened because of infighting, they will use this chance to attack Konoha.

Not sure y obito would but maybe he kills itatchi and helps take over the village or helps itatchi takes out key players in the uchiha and danzo. One of the becomes hokage. Obito would have had to escape madara somehow and not be so emo for this to work

Only the Uchiha being the police never made sense.
It may have. If they were given the position at the very start of Konoha being created, before the village even had a name. You had a bunch of different clans who used to fight each others in vicious wars now all coming to live together in the same village. You need someone to make sure they aren't fighting and destroying the whole place.
This responsability would fall on the founders of the village, so the Senu and the Uchiha. But, if the Senju were to do so, it mean there would be a fight and as a result there would be : Injured people, (not just the police and the criminal, but maybe unfortunate passerbys too) and physical destruction of the village too. Plus, reminder at the time, medical ninjustu was not as advanced.
Meanwhile, if the Uchiha were to handle the situation, they would put the person in a genjustu in a matter of a few seconds, reducing all of the above mentionned problems very quickly. It makes more sense to ask them to do it, at least until the tension between the clans would ease and Konoha would become stable.
Since the Uchiha would have to focus on making sure the kids dont destroy the place, the Senju are the one who have to make the infrastructure (academy, the hospital, trying to organise the difficulty level of the missions...) with Madara likely being one of the rare Uchiha helping in this process, because this was his dream, as much as Hashirama. Plus, Madara would also likely be the one reporting on any problem the Uchiha had to stop back then.
But, likely, it may have been intended that once the village would be stable, the police force would not just be made out of Uchiha. Integreting other clans and their ability where it is well suited (ex : Yamanaka for interogation, Inuzuka and Hyuga for tracking and investigation...) It is just that Madara, Hashirama and Tobirama all died before the situation was stable enough to do so.
I remind that both Hashirama and Tobirama died during the first shinobi world war, at the beginning and end of it. It means that Konoha was now facing external threat and needed to be even more stable on the inside, as it is also their first war as a village and they lost Hashirama very early on. Of course that Tobirama will not rock the boat by reforming the police, this isn't the priority at the moment. And then, he also died.
After this, Hiruzen ruled, with a reminder he had to : Win the first shinobi world war, then face two other wars while being the ruling Hokage. Not sure how stable Konoha was during those... and there may have been other more pressing matter than changing a system that worked just fine as it is.
We tend to forget it, but Konoha is like... very young. And had to face war for I think, easily half of its entire life. The fact they were never able to change it make sense and is more a product of unfortunate circonstances and at some point, maybe being complacent into thinking that "it worked fine until now. It can wait and hold on a bit longer while I improve other things instead".
I don’t understand how there are so many hyugas but only two in naruto that we watch grow up .. and none in boruto other than himawari who is not a ninja yet

I think it's an interesting concept to consider because the everything that happened that night is definitely enough to awaken it
I think it is impossible to jump from no sharingan to MS. Whether because this is too much on the body ((especially since Sasuke was like... 7 ?) or just too much for the eye.
Awakening the sharingan, even immediately in the 3 tomoe pattern ? Sure, but the MS is a whole different kind of stressful on the body, I think.

Great theory and it holds water but i would say not just Hyuga other clans are also responsible i belive they knew insticly know something is abbout to hapen but when you mention Kurama Hyuga would be able to see that Kurama is under genjutsu.
