The yellow vests should not have resorted to violence, no one should, rioting is not peaceful protest, that being said there is one giant difference here, these people were kicking off less than 24 hrs after the murders, they didn't give the police time to react let alone get an investigation going, they cannot claim the police don't want to help or protect them when they haven't lett he police do their jobs, the yellow vests on the other hand where rallying against more taxes on the working class, like rises in costs of fuel, aswell as Macron in general and France's electoral system of proportional representation. This is because most French people are finding the system doesn't deliver what the majority actually wanted. You cannot compare a groups of people rioting against their government over unjust and unfair laws and rules, to people going mental for lack of a better term within hours of someone being murdered.
But again as I state for one I do not condone violence, secondly I never mentioned the yellow vests to begin with.

Legal systems the world over are pathetic. The legal system is an industry that gets paid additional money for being inefficient. The longer a trial goes on, the more financial compensation the lawyers get. Humans are motivated by profit and there is an industry with lives on the line that is financially incentivized to be inefficient. Change the pay structure, and the system will change. Most poor folk already can't afford a lawyer with the current broken system. Flat rate pay by the job is the way forward. Not hourly pay. If a lawyer fails their client through haste or negligence, they get fined and eventually disbarred.
The protests should be peaceful. Anyone who destroyed shops must be punished with community service and fined and those who injured others should go to jail.
