That's funny (his laugh). I had a 2002 WRX with 400 whp (turbo upgrade with all necessary supporting mods), it was a really fun car. I never lost a race from a red light. I beat Vipers, Z06 Vettes, GT500 Cobras, etc .... That car was deadly on the street from a dig in a short race (0-80 mph or so). I would usually be 3-4 cars off the line by the time the other car started getting traction. I also had a Stage 2, STi that was fun, but not as fun as my 400 whp, WRX. I've also had lots of Camaros (5 to be exact) and 3 LS2, GTOs. So I don't discriminate between boosted imports or V8 Muscle. Hope you have lots of fun and be safe.

Cool story but it would get shat on by a 1.6-1.8 liter honda 😂 you spent a shit load to get 400hp and you sold it too cause subie guys cant stand the terrible gas and parts breaking.

@@cattcameo wtf is a "short race"? Yeah awd launches better no shit but is launching all that matters in racing? Im talking about circuit racing, road racing, and the quarter mile. Also, how many times can you launch an awd car on a stock drivetrain? Not much before something gives up.
You ever run into transmission issues with your WRX? I had a 2006 sti and was a big racer . Had friends with wrx's and the transmission seems to let the WRX down. The STI was a better platform because of its transmission/stiffer suspension. I might get a 2014 wrx but I'm afraid the supporting parts won't hold up.

Been watching since near the beginning. Love the vids and you've been a great inspiration for when I got my WRX. I had at the time, and still have an '06 Impreza 2.5i in Aspen white. I got that car in 2016 and enjoy it still. I bought my WRX as a shell in February of 2018. It's also an '06, I got it running this past December. The day after xmas actually. Dropped in the engine, trans, driveshaft, axles etc myself with some assistance where it takes more than one person. It's a standard WRX, not limited, but still has the misc details unlike the TR model. Finished in crystal grey metallic and I absolutely love the car!

First off I just want to say you have an amazing build , I got a chance to see it at subiefest 18, and your car was probably one of my favorite ones there. I currently own a 2005 wrx and a 2015 sti. Ive been thinking of starting to make CZcams videos and get to where you’re at. But I just want to say keep up the fantastic work 👍🏼

man, thats awesome!! probably 3 years ago i bought my first project car (actually sorta kinda finished the series on that one now) got it home and realise I knew nothing :') went to do a certificate II in a mechanics course, then a paint&panel course to get a general idea, then everything else is self taught just by observing, making mistakes, watching tutorials. and also by doing videos along the way has made me become a much more outward and confident person as well. noticed the same with you as well from your first to now. went and binge watched a few of your others aha. got yourself another sub dude

Gr8 job, and be proud. I was a aviation mechanic, and also graduated Lincoln Tech automotive school and been through all that before with my first 20 in the US 2001 WRX sold at Skagit Ford/Subaru in Washington State. Put 30k on motor and airframe then went STI motor, full build 2.7 stroker with 20g Godzilla. Loved it for years, then went 2005 EVO8 and now classic 3000GT.

I’m another self made 20 year old, good to see the young ones make it! I have a 15 stage 2 wrx and a 2006 350z. Both slammed and black. Also have a ram 1500. Hard work pays off!

Damn dude much respect for building your car and doing everything yourself! Taking out the motor, taking apart the motor, rebuilding the motor yourself, putting it back in, cutting fenders, picking the perfect wheel widths and offset to flow with the flares, transmission mods, the list goes on. I am very impressed. I have only ever seen older guys build motors like that. Super cool and inspiring. How long did you learn in school before diving in to rebuild your own motor?

Iv been following ur adventure with ur car and it makes me upset but happy at the same time. I had a 2004 sti in java black and had many plans for it. It was my dream car since freshman year of high school, im now 24 this year. I bought my car 2 summers ago and absolutely loved it, had plans to build it and make it my car. Unfortunately my dreams fell short due to splitting up with my sons mom and having to let my baby go as a repo. Which kills me every day. But i turn to your videos because they are interesting and seeing the progress on your car is inspiring and it helps your outgoing and know whats going on. Thank you for the updates and the videos in general. Your videos help me out and keep in my mind that i know il own another blob eye one day. Keep up the hard work

Bro this is sweet I absolutely love it:) I’m currently working on my own car as well. I picked up a 1999 2.5rs for dirt cheap and I’m working on making an off-road, heavy winter capable beast of a car. I live in Montana so weather here gets pretty intense. So far I’ve lifted it to a 11 and a half inch clearance and gotten BF Goodrich Ko2’s for tires. I’ve also swapped out the stereo and done sound deadening in the doors, trunk, and other places in the car. I still have a long way to go, considering I still plan on swapping in an ej207 and a 6 speed sti transmission, as well as completely repainting it. I have bright plans for the future and I hope I can execute my plans nearly as well as you did yours😁
