A lyric soprano with a 4octave vocal range, she is known for her great story telling, vocal agility and technicality when it comes to singing high notes and lung power. She has set the blue print of vocal belting as a standard in the Philippines which a lot of newer singers to name a few Katrina Valerde and Morisette Amon are inspired to follow her footsteps.
"Shine" was popularized by Regine Velasquez in 2005 and was also used as a theme song for a tv commercial of a beauty lotion called "SkinWhite".
She sang this song numerous times with different arrangements during her prime years and the one for Jollibee which was a few days ago became popular again because of the sustained F5 and the strong G#5 in mixed voice.
