Singing is such a huge thing in the Philippines. MOST households have karaoke systems. And Regine is our Queen.
belting is regine's forte. many can belt but regine's belting quality is unmatched. her voice doesn't become thin when belting. it's just powerful.

Great reaction coach. We tend to forget how technical Regine is. At 50 years old she had to unlearn everything she knew and study her voice by the help of her vocal coach.

she had acid reflux. lost her voice. did a major operation. learned new techniques to adjust to her new voice. ended up still sings very beautifully. THATS OUR QUEEN!

Granted, getting the right settings to sort out distortions on this clip isn't easy, but with some little modifications of "large concert hall" settings, Regine's voice is even better in this clip from 1995, than in Super Saiyan's recording of her "Twenty Concert".

She has so many amazing performances for the past 34 years.
This new version of "Shine" shows impressively that Regine is now finally in full control of her current voice.
But to understand why Regine is still reigning after more than 3 decades on the Philippines and why besides Katrina, Morissette, KZ Tandingan pretty much all the singers with Filipino roots known on CZcams, look up to her, are the old songs of Regine, with which they grew up, probably better suited.
