It's almost like interpolation with animation. How AI turns animation into 60 fps and it kind of slurs and smudges thing together. Not to say this one's bad, I love them both
The 2005 versions are just better because it focuses more on the voices rather than the instruments, like in Banana Man 2005, Joe harmonizes with himself so much and in my opinion it's way better than the final version.

I don’t like how solid this version feels. I like the slightly uncomfortable, dream like sound of the official version, and I feel like that dreamlike quality really works to emphasize the more abstract aspects of the lyrics.
