    I think the visual aesthetics and cinematography needs to win an award. What a stellar film 🎥 really. I respect the hell out of this film.

    Just one question: how he is a vampire and none of his children?? Cause the mother was bitten and turned into a vampire?

    • @shinoame
      @shinoame Před 8 měsíci

      Because in this movie, vampires are not something hereditary, and also vampires are capable of having human children. So Pinochet married and had children, but he didn't bit anyone of them so they're normal humans.

    I loved Carmen and her interactions with the family. They're dumb and self deluded, mostly just psychopathic and greedy. She'll insult them to their face, and they take it as a compliment because she's good at echoing their real motivations.
    Pretty bitter in tone, but it had to be a cat and mouse chase, and if she was scared the whole time, and we weren't waiting to see if she outsmarted them, it would have been boring.

    A character, a Vampire no less, having some issues 'taken care of' - by proxy😎That could be the *black comedy* in itself! *But* had the children seem to have great interest in *bleeding dry* the Father's finances...I loved how you think this was a *mixed bag* - 🤨 I'd watch it, without much understanding, as it's a sharp turn from 'traditional Vampire' personality!😉😊

    I am Chilean and the satire matches the story. Pinochet stole a lot, killed many people and when he was tried by a Spanish judge (juez Garzón) he took refuge in England where Margaret gave him her support.
    As a Chilean the story is funny, cultural, profound and why not? Maybe this fucking guy is a vampire and he will appear destroying the palace of La Paz in 200 years -as he says in the movie-.

      El conde really is true art and I've seen almost all of the dracula films. The black and white really makes it work the shots on this are one of a kind. I really liked the nun character good vs evil kind of thing.

    Ill never understand why the British government pulled out all the stops for that old crook. Aside from the immorality of aiding a dictator and mass murderer, he didnt have any value left to anyone.

      Because they had businesses with Chile in the times when Pinochet Ruled. Also, Pinochet helped the british in the Falkland islands war, not with military power, but with information, places to keep their plains and ships, any help to brittish soldiers and so on... Margareth Tatcher had a great relationship with him, so naturaly she wanted to return the favor when he requested her help.

    Regarding the catholic spy, it is a satire because the church kept many of its properties. The butler was Krasnoff, a CIA torturer sentenced to millions of years in prison for crimes. The foundations they mention, all true, facts.

    Vampirochet- buena película , retrata bien a ese delincuente de marca mayor, a este asesino en serie, militar ladrón y terrorista que ha sido la peor maldición para el pueblo chileno. Destruyó la vida de cientos de miles de familias chilenas. Dejó a Chile dividido y herido para siempre.

    Hey Nick! You are saying "Larraín" wrong. You must put the "accent" on the "i", in the last syllable (as if you were saying " Inn”). And of course, don't forget to roll ta fuck outta that double "R".😂😅🤣
