I am 6 weeks out. I had infection/abscess from drain tubes now dealing with packing my gut. The pain… incredible. I was told infection is very common with this procedure. My ten thousand dollar procedure turned into 27,000. Something to think about. Most people don’t comment on this. Patient education needed before this surgery is done.
@@cathyvilla9345 why would you come up with that idea? My incision is from sternum to the Punic bone and from hip to hip. I had three drain tubes and a pump. I was told that these infections are actually very common with these surgeries because…. There is here little blood flow around the belly button area. I would love for your educated information.
I’ve heard that it might take as long as a full year for recovery. Could be wrong but it is major surgery. Watch a video of it, that might change one’s mind.

I’m 4 days post op and I’m not in much pain more discomfort then anything. Pain scale 1-10 I’m about an 5

Discomfort? Lololol I couldn’t stand for almost a week. The pain is unbelievable. But worth it.
I would like to know if abdominal surgery is possible if the woman has 2 cm of pulmonary emphysema?

Mily T I could even get out of bed after 2 weeks . I still had some discomfort at a year
I'm on day 10 and I am in agony. This is the worst pain ever and I can't wait to feel somewhat better at least!
