Ever wonder that Quantum is like a good person who is awful at being a villain (he was a pirate Captain, at least his persona) in contrast to Qwark's bad person who is an awful hero.
Quark was straight up evil in the first 2 games
I've been getting a similar vibe to his character myself. A good guy who sucks at being a villain. heck, his first instinct was to get Ratchet out of the way of the Dimensionator instead of himself. Something Quark would never have done if he was in Quantum's shoes at that moment.
@@MR.LMR1996 Plus when he lists his priorities, Quantum considers his life being endanger to be third biggest concern after the dimensions collapsing and Emperor Nefarious being all powerful.

Captain Quantum is wearing an Orange Suit & Quark wears Green. Quark was supposed to be like a Satire of popular Male Superheroes.

@@kinggalactix Not exactly, Captain Quantum is Quark without his Pride or Ego. Also another detail I found is that Quark was a bad hero while Quantum was a bad villain. I just thought that Quark was funny when I was younger. Also it's hard to tell because there's not as much screen time with Quantum as there's for Quark which he was in every game that I know of.

Next game, there's never any DLC for their kids games unless it's LBP with level stuff or crossovers.
I would guess it sets up the sequel. Real glad they didn't just send Rivet & Kit to their dimension in the end. Making them a core part of the series future is the right decision. I love them both and that they're not just clones of the "originals".

Does anyone know who does the voice of Captain Qwark in this game? I'm aware of the unfortunate situation with Captain Qwark's original voice actor Jim Ward, just curious who they got to replace him.

But no you did a fantastic job, I was a bit worried leading up to Rift Apart's release, but I was pleasantly surprised how on point your performance was, I almost couldn't tell the difference. I was quite saddened to hear of the situation surrounding Jim Ward, and wish him all the best, but I'm glad they were able to find someone as talented to carry on the legend that is Captain Copernicus Leslie Qwark, thank you for doing Captain Qwark justice, I'm sure Jim Ward would be proud too.

@@xaracen7207 not sure, but what we do know is that quark isn't the only one of his species whatever alien race he is! Quantum and Qwark are likely not the same person as per the skin color and chin size and voice! This easily confirms that Quantum and Qwark might share a single parent along both dimensions giving them similar appearances but with the other parent different across both dimensions! So Qwark has a people!

Rivet = white with blue stripes
Kit =Golden
Rusty Pete counterpart = blue
All have different Voiceactors.

Did I miss something. The two are shown together at the end, but I didn’t see them share a single line of dialogue..
Yeah, it's not in the video. During the final battle, Captain Quantum sail's a boat filled with explosives to Emperor Nefarious' mech. All while giving a heroic monologue, and Qwark complements him. It's not much but it's a neat little moment.

Like many of the characters in Rivet's dimension, he's a sort of mirror to Qwark. Whereas Qwark is a selfish coward trying to be a hero, Quantum seems to be halfway competent, but he's trying to be a villain (well, Pirate, technically villainous, even if Nefarious IS the authority the pirates would be - ahh, you know what I mean) - I've only actually personally played the first game, watched an LP of the second, and only bits and pieces of the rest of the series, so I can't comment on how successful either one is. But the trick is that despite whatever their flaws might be, both are good men at heart, and are there when it counts.
