put in my sirius xm antenna yesterday through 3rd brake light stripped screws so i need new ones or going to replace light anyway. looks old on mine. found a write up to replace a cigarettes lighter with a usb so doing that soon. also replacing rear camera and tessa taping all radio connections so that will be redone as well. and then installing tailgate mat. which will be here thursday. and setting up my tech deck with phone mount and maybe tablet mount. thats the project list for my 2nd gen keep these kind of video coming i enjoy them
Looks good Jesse and nice video! I have the same setup and love it. I added heat shrink around the small aluminum piece because I just wanted it blacked out..just my one preference.

Have you noticed any rattling? Im digging this one, but if im just doing highway driving or just cruising id like to keep my cabin as quiet as possible.

Great video on how to install this dash mount! I do have a question though. Do you know how to connect an iPhone cable directly to the head unit to use CarPlay vs. using the cable as a charger? I’d like to use CarPlay while the phone is mounted without the cable hanging around on the outside.

You passed your charger behind your dash just for the other side to hang in front of your dash. Got it
You can run it threw the back and splice it like other model dmms and splice into the cigarette lighter terminals I didn’t want to do that so if I wanted to remove it one day , also so it’s not going across my screen when I’m charging it stays out the way 💪

Do you have a link for the ball mount through RAM mounts?
Through them I don’t :/ I got all the ball mounts threw the taco garage because I wanted to make sure the ball mounts would fit didn’t know if the ball mounts from ram have the same bolt size

I had it like that for a while lol
I installed this mount, but I really hate it. When driving I've found that my phone bounces up/down like crazy. The plastic just isn't strong enough to stabilize the phone. It needs a metal bracket like the rail system.
You can get those from ram mounts

Seems a bit overkill to place the holding screws and take them out once you screw in the black screws. It’s already centered, why would you need to put the holding screws? Also do you really have to trim those black tabs? Can’t you just use an open wrench to tighten the bolts?
You do have to trim because there isn't enough room to get a wrench on.
