mayitojl: I do understand the point you're making and it's a valid one. Ideally, Caro mio ben should be sung with a long legato line. So, Macias is not perfect. But his sensitivity and musicality are at such a high level, it is a pleasure (for me) to hear him sing.
Nice voice but I'd have loved to hear more sense of legato and I didn't get any feeling for, and commitment to, the text. However the upward portanento in the middle of the song was the most pleasing part of his reading of the score, equisite in its effect.

Voz sem Mordente. A técnica é insuficiente. Carece de trabalho facial-muscular. Os tenores hoje em dia tendem a engolar a voz. Isto não é bom.
