I use fresh blueberries, but you can use frozen ones - or even another fruit. Berries are my fav, but mango would be tasty too!
You can replace the JOI oat milk powder with regular plant-based milk or even add some rolled oats and strain or not!
Not a matcha fan? Leave it out to make date-sweetened blueberry oat ice cream!

Hi Kathy! That blueberry matcha blend is gorgeous. If I were on Facebook I'd be posting photos to your group everyday. My current favorite Creami concoction is chocolate cherry. I make overnight oats: 1/4 cup old fashioned oats, 2 tbsp chia seeds, 2 tbsp date paste, 1 tbsp cocoa powder, 1/8 tsp almond extract, and 1 cup water. Soak that overnight and pour into pint jar, add the cherries and level out the top with some oat milk. Freeze and then spin. I don't blend the overnight oats and it gives the ice cream some texture that I like - reminds me of cookie bits.

Hi Kathy, I made this for the first time today. It is truly ice cream shop quality. I did add 1/4 avocado I needed to use and I love matcha. Yum! Thank you for another shot of Kathy Hester wisdom!

A grapefruit spoon or small zester works for leveling off.

Hi Kathy - if we wanted to use rolled oats rather than oat milk or JOI + water in this Ninja CREAMi recipe, how much oats and how much water would that be? The printed recipe only gives JOI + water or oat milk/creamer quantities. Thank you so much for this recipe - I just bought 5 boxes of blueberries, LOL.

I never used Matcha before. Can anyone describe how matcha taste? Does it have a flavor of any other greens?
