I realise that I am so pessimistic, worry so much and say so many negative things about myself (and others...) that I wonder when people look at me do they see Christ in me or they think I am not even a christian... I want to be a better representative of the body of Christ... So I want to work up my quiet time. Thank you for this video, it really inspires me ☺️

Oh this is crazy for about a month I've been waking up almost every morning at 5 I look at the clock see what time it is and go back to sleep I know somewhere in my heart that God's waking me up to read.

The most important time of my day is my early morning devotion. I started getting up early to pray and it has transformed my life: my level of patience has increased and I deal with everyday stress a lot better. Thanks for sharing your experience.

i haven’t spoken to god in almost a month . i can’t seem to get myself to talk to him . it feels new , like i’ve never talked to him before . but i’ve been moody , lazy , and i’ve cryed myself to sleep almost every night .
i’m so so sorry you are going through that. that can’t be easy. i sometime ago through periods like that too. what helps me is just making simple comments to him. like when something goes great, i just say “thanks God, i appreciate it.” eventually, conversations become easier. reading the bible also fills me with peace and motivates me to grow closer to Him. as well, church fellowship and a family of believers is CRUCIAL!! you need people who can encourage and who you can also pour into. i hope things get better for you, sending prayers your way!

Awesome! I woke up around 4:30 this morning and thought of doing this. I think that’s God speaking😂😂I love Him! Anyone who is reading this: you are loved, adored and cared for by God. He wants to spend time with you and He loves you SOOOO MUCH He sent Jesus, His one and only son, to DIE for your sin! He offers forgiveness when we Repent and again He loves you. JESUS IS COMING BACK SO SOON AND I CAN’T WAIT TO LIVE WITH HIM FOREVER. Please pray for my family and friends that know Christ, thank you coffee and bible time!!!

i try to do this by waking up at 6:am but I always end up falling asleep 😩 yall pray for me!

So there is this app called Alarmy. It makes you do things in order to turn off the alarm. I have to run to my kitchen and scan a barcode. Lol this will totally help you get up and get out of bed.

My days have been full.. with work, chores, serving in church.. I read bible, pray, study bible everyday but still I felt soooo exhausted, weary, and down.. and I realized I even took bible, prayer and having time with God as 'work' recently. I was soo encouraged by your video, so thanks!! I will try that experiment too to wake up early and sit in stillness and in His presence and form my days around Him again!!

I felt God speaking to me through this video. I’ve been struggling with a dry quiet time lately and I recently began running an online Christian ministry. This has opened my eyes to the fact that I can’t neglect feeding myself from the word if I want to minister to others. When I wake up early in the morning I’m not distracted by anything, no ones awake, nothings happening, it’s beautiful and peaceful outside, and for me at least, I feel closer to God! Normally we put our quiet time away because we have to do something else or “we don’t have time,” But what we don’t realize sometimes is that when we put God FIRST, he does the rest. He is our provider! 🙌🏼 🙏🏼 ♥️
So every morning I’ve been getting up at 4am to journal. I haven’t dug into the Bible lately so thank you for this video. I definitely could add more of reading it in my quiet time. Tip for people wanting to get up early....get the Alarmy app. I have to run to my kitchen and scan a barcode before my alarm will go off. It has different things you can do like math, etc etc. it’s been very helpful at helping me get my butt out of bed so early.
I love getting up at midnight... As soon as the day begins. And yes time alone with God will transform your life in ways you could never fathom or imagine.

As I read the comments, I realized that I'm not the only one who struggles with their quiet time! Like, i knew i wasn't the only one but one day it changed your perspective and you're like 😯🤯☺. It's like 'Jesus loves you'. You've heard it, but It didn't hit you and then one day it did and you're perspective changed!!!
I feel like this I was meant to watch this video today. I’ve been really struggling to find time in my day for quiet time due to not waking up early like I intend to. This has given me a kick in the butt to get up early and keep myself accountable. Thank you! 💛
Mid afternoon is my quiet time. I've finished my morning housework and chores and I can really get into the word. In the morning I just keep thinking of everything I need to do. I think it's whatever works for you. I got up early (4:30 AM) for years when I was working. Retirement has totally changed me. I'm much more relaxed so I can enjoy my Bible study and prayer time without putting pressure on myself and thinking about what I should be doing. I think your idea is very good though.
Same for me too. I usually try to get some reading and devotional in the morning but afternoons are when I’m really focus.

This is so nice. I ve been setting my alarm to 5.30am for waking up and praying psalms and i found your video while i was looking tips for devotional prayer tips. And today i read the psalms 119 and sent it to my husband. Wow! Praise the LORD!
I try to wake up early but I end up not being able to get out of bed and be Intentional and I go back to sleep. I want to be more intentional in my mornings and really getting up to tackle the day! Tomorrow is Sabbath so I may give this a go.

Im bothered by insomnia, but try to put the time awake to good use which will not annoy my neighbours...studying the Word is perfect at any time but, actually making time for Jesus and not just slotting Him in when you've a bit free time is really beneficial, just like in any relationship.
One aid to study I cannot live without now is reading aloud. I find this helps with my concentration and allows the words to sink into your brain through your ears.
Spending time with the lord is how you know and you feel Jesus is alive. You feel his presence. He’s the way the truth and the life. Be more like him and less like you. Amen 🙏🏼

I love waking up at 5/6am. I feel so much more closer to God and more accomplished.
they say they once you’re awake to get up because when you keep snoozing, you become more tired. it’s hard to explain but there’s a reason for it. that just means that’s the best time for you to get up right away
Its because every time you snooze u wake up and break your sleep. And when you go back to sleep you are starting a new sleep cycle. Which will never be completed or fulfilled which makes you feel « tired » even when you are well rested! So yea that’s why snoozing is unhealthy....hopefully this bring you guys some more understanding! God bless u all ❤️

This has been my biggest struggle. I have never been a morning person and now that I have 3 kids 6 and under its been so hard. I know I need to figure something out.
Any time with God is better than none! You don’t have to get up early to please Him! He sees your heart ❤️
Same. I have 2 kids. And though I am still working through being consistent I ended up with this arrangement. My kids get up at about 7am. My hubby works from home but doesn’t start work until 8:30. So 7am-8am is “mommy’s time” I get to spend alone in my room with the Lord, to sleep more, to pray. Whatever I want. Hubby makes breakfast at 7 so it’s ready for the kids. He helps them potty, brush teeth, and eat. Then at 8am I pick up where he left off and get the kids dressed, hair brushed and done, get myself dressed before driving them to school. Hope some version of this helps for you! God bless!
