uJam's mellow bass verges on muddy (at least on the monitors connected to my PC). NI's setting seems to have more midrange punchiness. But without seeing how parameters can be tweaked I couldn't make a choice.
#1 Native Instruments for those live transients, #2 UJAM for an overall balanced bass tone with minimal eq required. The other instruments had frequencies that really honked and not as enjoyable to my ear.

Ample Sound is the most realistic out of the box; when you fiddle with it, it gets even better.

Of course there are a lot of settings for each library.. I guess just wanted to play to show the four options. I'll do a video with more examples.

I like NI too but also found Ample sound to be very good. There are also articulations and others thigs to tweak
Like hiring a live musician...it depends on the gig...
I guess you can tweak each one to sound different to the extreme
Ezbass 2 also have an upright bass
