Question. I have Silk 1, my concern is projects where I am using Silk 1 that are not finished, or songs I want to reopen and remix or create a new project with old recordings, if I upgrade to 2 will the presets be different to the point the old strum patterns for my projects no longer exist and be replaced with something new? I want the new silk but I don't want to ruin my projects if I want to keep my presets - since there is no way to midi out the sounds in Silk 1.
I just bought it. From what I can tell, it's a separate plugin, so it shouldn't affect your old projects in any way.

The installer says I have 29 trial days remaining, the plugin says 7 days 🫤
The instrument mode is kinda strange. I wish there was a way to simply hit C3 and it plays a C3. Or am I missing something? I can't be the only one to miss this basic feature.

Regarding the instrument mode, it doesn't have a single note feature yet. We're continuously working to improve and enhance our offerings based on user feedback. What a shame that the keyboard split has been done in the oppsite way to how most people play guitar and piano.... Chords with the Left hand, pattern playing with the right.
Really don't understand why UJAM arranged the layout the other way around...
I tried the demo, and it felt quiet counter-intuitive.
They should allow the user to change the layout to their preference.

UJAM continues to produce second rate VSTis. Why? Where is the MIDI Out? MIDI Out is not dragging a MIDI file from UJAM to your DAW to trigger a pattern. It is the output of that pattern after the triggering MIDI Input plays the pattern. Not really rocket science as so many other instruments are capable of this.
Wouldn't you like to be able to use the picking pattern from you Silk 2 to harmonize with some strings? It's simple really, almost every quality VSTi, think Kontakt, Falcon, etc., has MIDI out exactly so you can extend your creativity. I own several earlier UJAM guitars ... and they are not bad, but lack of MIDI Out has stopped me from buying their products.

But the Midi integration is as always crappy.

How about explaining what the midi notes are doing in the DAW instead of wasting time looking for stupid videos to insert in the walkthrough
