- This video was created to bring awareness to the poverty situations in Niagara Falls. There is so much brokenness, and no one to help. Hopefully this documentary will encourage you to want to help, and to make a change. If you can do anything at all, even if its praying let me know. I can get you in contact with the right person to help out.
I grew up in Niagara Falls downtown back in the sixties and seventies it was One of the best places to live in the country . The factories all closing down corruption And bad politicians rune Niagara Falls.
In the Seventies, NF US went for industry, and NF Canada went for tourism. It happens that tourism brought investment and wealth for a while...but the common factor is that neither benefits the locals much. Profit is milked off to the investors, in either case. It's called capitalism.

I live in Upstate NY, and have been to the falls twice. The falls are nice. However, the towns surrounding it is pretty dirty and slum. It's no different than any other democratic ran city.
Final proof that casino gambling does not provide economic benefits to the area. Many restaurants and bars just closed because they could not compete with the free drinks and low cost meals.

you know their talking about niagara falls New York's but niagara falls , Ontario is very similar , behind the huge tourists hot spots the actual city is dirty and falling apart much like what is being shown in this video
elizabeth lemire Niagara Falls Canada has poverty areas but isn't 1/2 as bad as the US side. If you've lived in both you know there is seriously no comparison.

The American side has NEVER been inviting like the Canadian. The narrator should distinguish between a dump that did nothing, and a town that exploited its potential. Fantasy Island, Melody Fair and indeed Buffalo, got what they deserved.
