Bruh, how come the V2 X sounds better than the V2?
The V2 sounds like someone's farting in the background.
Maybe because it’s not detachable
its because of the soundcard, somehow razer headsets mic sounds alot worst when you connect it through the souncard.
tbh the Kraken X and Kraken 2019 were really similar that the only diff was like the 40 vs 50mm drivers, aluminium construction and the retractable mic (latter 2 ain't present in the former)
and honestly coming from a Kraken TE the Kraken X are really good for me cuz they are not only light but they are also not clamping hard like the heavier ones do.
even the cardiod mic is the SAME just that the budget one can't retract and u have to bend up. that's about it
tho im amazed the V2 sounds more raspy than V2x. i thought it'd be like the same
well that's odd
Maybe he has a soundcard better than the V2's USB one
I think the cheaper V2 X mic sounds better than the V2, just sounds more natural and doesn't have as much as a digital tone to it.
Ya sometimes on the v2 it would sound like louder and distorted
Thats because of the usb sound card razer provided
SO TRUE
Yes I agree
So its best to choose v2x over v2?
I appreciate that you included glasses into the comfort level. I feel represented 😩😭

Mic on the V2 X is better.
I know right. I wish that the V2 mic was better because it is more expensive.

You can have a similar mic or even better on the V2 if you go trough the parameters

I only recently started watching your videos as I am looking at purchasing some razer products, and my first initial thought was, "I like how this guy talks and does his reviews", and now seeing from where you came from, major step up! I love how you go into good detail and explain even the little things! Good job man! Great videos!
I'm probably gonna get the V2x, the only thing I'm worried about is in the leather rich ear and head pads, cuz I know those tend to degrade easily with time. But i think for where I live the price difference isn't worth it to go up to the V2 even more so with the V2x having way better mic quality
You can always buy Cushions Upgraded Replacement Earpads for them. Just like a controller your headset can also be upgraded/repaired. 😎
Get the warranty.
Update on your experience?
@FreezeTemo It's a perfectly good headset! The microphone works great. The audio is pretty decent, and as headsets go, it's very comfortable for me. I even brought it on the plane, and it was surprisingly decent to use during a long flight.
At home, I bought a beyerdynamic headset because of the audio quality for music. But as I'm traveling, I'm using this one, and it works for everything I need. Gaming, speaking to people, watching videos, etc.
@danielstudart2062 Awsome! Thank you for responding. I'm definitely getting one now after hearing your response!
i like how i have 0 idea bout any of these products until frank uploads
Lmao
The headphones just released
Bruh because they are new
He uploaded a video the same hour these got announced lol
I'm talking about in general, chill
honestly i think razer is really doing a good job on new products
Recently they started listening. For example the mini mice and the mini huntsman are all examples of listening to the community.
But not so much in the price side tho
I still don't know why people buy Razer headsets and mice, their keyboards are the only thing worth it. Mice have a higher lift off distance that makes it hard to switch to, and headsets suck.
@@suppressed_viii dont know about u but the viper mini is amazing
@@kamikayz3363 they're average
Just got these on Black Friday! I can't wait!
Thanks! This REALLY helped a lot. My current headset sucks- not comftorable- but, now, I found a good headset :)
Razer didn't even make an announcement on instagram about this headphones or their new blackwidow v3 TKL keyboard.
there is no blackwidow v3 tkl lol
randomfrankp check razer’s website. Click: what’s new. It’s there. Lmk if you see it.
Oh my bad was thinking of a "v3" Huntsman TE lol
Perhaps because themselves know their products' quality isn't worth a penny.
randomfrankp what would be a better budget headset, the razer kraken X or the razer blackshark v2 X?
Nice.
Love the vid, keep it coming!
(Can’t wait for the other projects)
Literally just bought this thanks for the review !!
is it good?
The earcups on my kraken have just about fully eroded. I would probably go for the v2 just because i prefer the cloth mesh material vs the pleather

RAZER BLACKSHARK V2 PRO BABBYYYY
the V2 X's mic sounds wayyyyy better, but I have a separate studio mic, so I'm not too worried about my mic, just a really good headset for gaming and listening/recording music
to be fair, he didnt show how it sounds with everything cranked up from the software on microphone gain/boost
@@Redmanticore do you have any good settings for me
i got the blackshark v2 and its a great headset with the sound well designed and great reception in game the only problem is the padding is quite weak after 3 months i found myself getting headaches after wearing for 2 hours which is quite a short session for me so just be aware of that is you a prone to headaches quite easily other wise great headset
Razed must have hired some new people because since the Viper they’ve stepped up their game so much in all quality and design aspects of their products
Also didn't they buy THX? So I think that helps them sound better too yo yeehaw!
Damn, that non removable mic on the V2 X will be a deal breaker for a lot of people.
If it was removable it would be perfect 🤩

The reason the volume wheel is counter clockwise is because of how it's placed. You spin it "forward" to increase the volume. In my case it would feel natural, though it could be me who just isn't used to volume mixers like this.

Your review made my get this headset thank you
which one did you get and how is it?
Razer and budget? We are living in 2020.
I’m proud of razer recently, they’ve been doing good shit all year you know
TV Head Man true they’ve been listening to enthusiasts and making higher quality stuff instead of the gimmicky and too much branding products they were doing in the past. I got their new mouse pad the gigantus v2 and it’s better than the ss qck
You cant use the sound card on a console.
@@JorgeGuzman-gi6fo because consoles have their own sound card and cant download drivers etc for the v2 sound card
We are in the last of fays
I have also tested them with the beta synapse drivers and found them really good! The audio profiles for the games are very well made and the THX sounds as good as my Nari. The kinda noise dampening feel of it was one of my favorite features, as well as the noise dampening microphone! I think it is the best value Esport Headset on the market
This is one for randomfrankp. Good detailed vid 👍. I'm looking to get a new headset and I've narrowed my pick between the V2x and Fnatic React. I mainly play competitive fps on console. In your opinion which one do I go for?
needed to replace my hyper x cloud stinger headset I've had a few years now. This and another review of yours has me sold on the V2 X. Thanks a ton for this!

I was literally thinking when would Razer make some HyperX Cloud style headsets. Careful what you wish for.
I'm glad you think the same as me. I feel the Razer THX spatial audio is really good and Razer does it right. That's the main reason why I bought the headset lol. just so I could get the THX spatial audio, now I can use the THX software with any headphones/headsets.
Thanks you help me too choose what is good
Try using the splitter cable to split it into the two channels, and plug the output one into the sound card, and the input into the pc. See if that solves the mic audio compression problem. Now u can enjoy high quality audio with good mic quality.
can someone confirm this works?
Well looks like the V2X is just what I needed.
Holy crap that mic is crispy!
Did you end up getting the x?
@@tanuncito I did, and it's the best gaming headset I had in YEARS. I always wore the Kraken, the V1 and V2. And the Blackshar V2X gives you the same if not bett sound quality then the Kraken, it's way lighter, it doesn't hurt your ears. The mic is extraordinary, and on top of all he's more durable than the Kraken, I always had a problem with the Kraken cushions, which were made of leather and always got ripped apart, this one is made of a different kind of matterial. Also the mic mutting button and the volume is on the left earcup, giving a more reliable and durable condition to the headset.
I've had the Blackshark V2X for over 4 months now, and I don't regret at all buying.

Just thought one. Super stoked. Nothing like a new headset.
Without even looking at the price the V2 X seems to be better overall.
What did you get?
How
The V2 is better but for the extra 40$ it isn't probably that worth it.
Ye the V2 X looked to have better sound quality honestly but I like either one and honestly but I’m getting the V2 because I don’t really talk and having the mic piece in all the time will just catch me off guard sometimes when looking down some
Bruh... I got V2 and I can say: THE SOUND CARD DOES A BIG DIFFERENCE. It is like from 40$ headphones to 100$ and one more plus is that microphone which can be removed... Definitely recommend normal v2s for price.
Reminds me of the pilot headset you reviewed like 5 years ago

Thanks for the vid, in the market for a gaming/streaming headset. Anyone who games on PCs, built in soundcards
Are VERY GOOD on mid to high end motherboards these days. There was a time when they sucked and you had to add a soundcard but thats not the case anymore. Not so sure how useful the razr usb soundcard would be for pc, might be worse

Razer have always been ahead of the game in terms of peripherals imo for competitive prices especially. Picked up the V2X’s today for £40 and they are top quality, I still use my Deathadder from 2009 as my main mouse for CSGO 😂
Yep my death adder and black widow from like 2014 still holding strong. About to purchase this headset. I looked at steel series, astro(always wanted), hyper X and I think razer is just the move because I already trust them, and because I can use synapse for my headset mouse and keyboard rather than using synapse and steel series software or synapse and hyper X software
Thanks ma. ❤this review .
I've worn glasses sin i was 2 . So wearing headphones is kinda a pain .
Thank you razer for thinking ahead .
Should’ve had the V2 sound options off for the mic before switching to the V2 X but anyway I’m sure they sound identical
They really dont lol
Does it have a lot of sound bleed through? or very little? because I had the razer Kraken pro v2 and the sound bled through ALOT
thanks Bro your videos always help !! I have had the V2, wanted to know the difference with the V2X to buy a pink one for the girlfriend.
Usually twisting “forward” is volume up in my mind. Being on the left ear cup, they did it right
According to Razer's website, you only get the 7.1 surround sound software with the V2 X... with the V2 however, you get their THX spatial audio which is supposed to be better than the regular surround sound they had.
@@royandsuz I would look in the Xbox One audio/sound settings man
I think the V2 X is the WAY better buy. I think the more subtle look and honestly better mic quality. I don't value the dongle and paracord at $30. Stereo sound is just superior than virtual imo
Ya
the mic quality is the same if you connect v2 by the sound card the mic card gets bottlenecked and it becomes shit quality if you go straight to motherboard you have much better mic quality
Does the THX on the V2 still work, when using it with a different amp/DAC?
This is the best review I've ever seen about this products
Not bad from Razer. Love what they are doing recently. I’m not gonna be switching from my Logitech for a while I think, but if they keep this up, maybe in a year or two, I’ll be ready to go full Razer again

Can you do a review of the Cooler Master MH650? I'm thinking of getting it, but it hasn't really been noticed all that much by most major reviewers. From what I know, it's pretty similar to the Kraken, even pricewise, but more in-depth reviews never hurt.
Just bought the V2 X. I am watching this video wearing it right now, great headsets ngl
Man, these are awesome. I had a Battlefield 4 edition of the original Blackshark back in the day, they sounded awesome and had a great mic. They were really big and heavy though, and I moved on to other things. They're probably packed away somewhere. I would totally get the V2 if I didn't already love my current setup of a pair of Audio-Technica M50xBTs with a VModa Boompro mic cable, and I don't really want another headset/pair of headphones floating around when my M50xBTs can do everything. I'll just admire them from a distance!
It’s kind of funny how he says back in the day when it was like 2 years ago, lol
Back in my day was the 1980's for me , makes me laugh when they can only remember to last week
Just got these two day. Love these :')
I have the v2x and i love the sound and the mic is perfect no distortion what so ever💪😎
I've heard people recommend with the Razer Blackshark V2 to just bypass the soundcard it has for a better microphone experience.
I'll take 3.5mm connectors over USB any day since I always prefer to use my amp for headphones and USB dongles tend to just get left in the box for me, because my amp can deliver waaaaay better sound than proprietory USB can
Problem is the mic anh headphones share the same ground and if you plug the headphone into your amp and the mic into your pc, you get a groundloop problem.
I got compliments on the V2X mic quality yesterday. It sounds great. Some have said it sounds low and I don’t know how to boost that
2 seconds before you took out your glasses I was wondering what it would feel like to wear it with one. Thanks man 😂
I'm not sure if this would be fair, but I would've loved to see these two be compared to the Razer Kraken X headset since they go for $40/$50 and see if paying the extra money for the Blackshark V2's would be a better deal
