Agreed it’s like a running back. Buchner is our future but Coan gives us the best chance to win right now. He’s improved with his pocket awareness over past few games.
It's become too obvious that when he's in, we run. He hasn't been given the opportunity to throw one down field. Maybe this is all a plan to catch the Badgers off, but we've yet to see his arm strength. The fans love him, that was obvious with the standing ovation on a 5 yard run (was a good stiff arm), but Jack could of had 2 more TD's if one didn't drop it wide open in the endzone, and one didn't drop a 5 year slant with nobody in front of him. Even "The Jet" stepped out on one he could of taken to the house. Jack makes a strong comeback, even when he's pressured to throw quickly, and overthrew a couple times. Just need to get him the time to throw.
The defense played better, and small improvements were made. We were a td favorite, and covered that. Of course that's not good enough for a lot of fans. The offensive line will need to play pretty flawless to beat Wisconsin. Jack looks great, when he has the time to throw. Tyler looks good too, just different look. I don't know if we can go the whole season doing this, but we're 3-0, with the biggest game of the year so far, ahead of us.
ND can’t keep playing down to the level of competition. I hope they were trying to prep for their game next week against Wisconsin, because these last 3 games, they looked lethargic on both sides of the ball

I was at this game. Purdue defense has exotic looks on 3rd down, which was part of the reason why the ND offense had issues at times.

Why is NBC no longer showing the Alma mater?
Purdue is horrible. Notre Dame should have put up 50+ on these clowns. So many horrible throws by Coan and then he does make a perfect throw and who was it…Davis? drops it in the end zone. The ND receivers were wide open downfield like 5 times and Coan missed them every time except for one time. And why can’t Buchner play more than two plays in a row and why isn’t he allowed to throw? He was only in the game for 4 plays. He passed one time, granted it was a bad pass, but oh well. Give him a couple chances.

Just glad ND isn't one of the 15+ preseason ranked teams to have a loss already. ND needs tons of improvement, but really, this one would have been a first-half blowout if the QB hadn't missed on some open deep throws (would have been 24-3 at half), and ND dropped a wide-open TD in the 4th quarter on another drive when they didn't get points. If anything, the gap should have been worse.
Notre Dame is a hilariously terrible top 20 team...the fact that they CONTINUE to garner National support is just a reaction to their name and racist front. I'm so sick of this team being even mentioned on the National college stage...they are the Boston Celtics, Red Sox of college football and it repulses me...
