- Join us as we head to Sundown Adventureland in Rampton, Nottinghamshire for our first ever visit! This family theme park was originally founded in 1968 and has grown to include over 20 different rides and attractions, all with fantastic theming. Sundown Adventureland is designed for under 10's and a child is needed to be able to enter the theme park, so we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to take my goddaughter to one of her first theme parks! In this vlog we share on ride POV's from all of the major rides, experience various different walk through attractions and much more!

This was the first park i ever visited as a child. Back when it used to be called Pets Corner
Snap! Sundown Pets Corner! Hasn't changed since 1996 but still looks fantastic!
Were off on Sunday and I still call it pets corner of sundown pets corner
The theming of this park is immaculate. I cant imagine how amazing it would be if they had the budget of the likes of Disney and Universal. Round of applause for their creative team 👏
Well this brought back some memories! I went there once when I was about 7 (so around 2002) and loved it so much! I don't remember going on any rides but I was a kid that would rather be on the play equipment than waiting in line for anything that wasn't a rollercoaster! And I've been bugging my parents for years about where we went that had the lollipop castle and none of us could remember where it was so you've solved a bit of a family mystery

I've been coming here for years and its great to see this place getting some recognition. Great to see you gave it a good review as the themeing and atmosphere here is incredible. Its the place that got me into theme parks and will always be part of my life.. what a theme park
it’s such a good a good little park i love 10 minutes awyay from it and they have struggled during the lockdown but there building little lodges to stay overnight and they are planning on building some coasters when they get the funds

I have waited ages for a proper vlog from here as I’ve been asked to make a visit for years but since I don’t have kids I can’t go !! This has got to be one of the least well known theme parks in the UK, don’t know anyone who’s been, never see it get mentioned and never seen it advertised

I came for years when I was a kid and loved the old tractor ride. Lovely nostalgia
The other Christmas ride is how you see Santa, from what iv heard you get off that ride then have your Santa meet and greet.

Went there year after year when I was a child. I remember them having a sand pit pirate theme, which we’d always sit around the side on picnic tables and eat our packed lunch. Loved the little toy town, the fire station being most memorable to me for some reason, and can’t forget the yellow brick road!
I remember going here all the time when I was a little kid and I always loved going there and have some great memories

Can’t believe how good the theming is around the park, it looks so good !! I can see this park growing in the future and maybe add a few new rides, a family drop tower and coaster would go well

i have visited sundown about 20 times I have bin nearly every year sins was bourn and i found new stuff every time . the dark ride at Christmas is amazing reason why it is not open all year is because you meet Santa clause at the end . i highly recommend this park at Christmas as it is

next time you go check out there go to the spooky walk through , the driving school , pirate ship , crash landings , wized of oz walk through , pirate walk through and more of the wild west era .
spooky walk through it may be small but it uses eled lighting and couler full set .
driving school themed to monkeys i think it opened in 2027.
pirate ship is one of the tallest set pies at the park and has animatronics and forstperspective .
wized oz walk through with the characters and the yellow brick road and the castle .
pirate walk through a modern walk through what is funny interactives animatronic .
wild west area check out the shouting gallery .
your question is the spooky theming in there all year in the wild west spooky walk through ? yes it is it is spooky all year round .

Not been here for several years as my 2 kids are teenagers now. But it really is a nice well themed park and it is really nice at Christmas. The ride they only open at Christmas Shawn which takes the kids to see Santa is a trackless dark ride which again is really well themed.
It’s a great park that we really enjoyed!
I miss Martin and Leah. It was weird them not appearing on the vlog when they were with Shawn here ☹

This place reminds me of the Forbidden Corner but better. It is a shame you have can’t have grown adults without children to the park, I wish they could have special selected days where adults could visit the park to look at the artictecturhe.

Absolutely loved this vlog. I’m so pleased you have paid them a visit. I really hope it boosts visitor numbers. Such a great park for those with young kids. So well themed, loads of interactive stuff and plenty of opportunities for kids to play, climb and explore.
Do try to visit at Christmas; it takes on an even more magical feel with the trees and lighting. Best Santa experience we ever had. 😄

Favourite place as a kid
What a throwback to my childhood! Theres lots of child sized crawl spaces you wouldn't even be able to fit in as an adult to review! I remember around the cowboy town there was a secret room with aliens in, and somewhere there was a whole room hidden behind a tiny fake wardrobe 😂
This will always be Pets Corner to me. That Ice Cream fountain used to be a floating tap water feature.
As someone who loves medival/Tudor history, I would stay in that robin hood area all day!

What a little treasure for the kids you have discovered. Never heard of it before. Hopefully will be able to take my granddaughter here after the current lockdown restrictions have passed. Worth looking into other undiscovered parks for future reference.

It was a wonderful day and it was great to take her on plenty of rides!
When I went here as a kid. It was called pets corner as they used to have animals as well. We went with our kids a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. Great themeing. Like you said a little coaster would be a great addition.
That place was so cool and cute at the same time. That train ride sure moved pretty fast. I loved that Christmas ride it was really nicely themed.
I remember going there twice as a kid. Once on a school trip, and once with a mate before he went back to his home country. So many memories. I remember being 6 and 7 and really enjoying it. They were great days, loved the pirate ride. On the school trip my mates dad was our group leader and he always took the water cannons for us. In one of the village areas it had been turned into an outdoor park with slides and tasks and obstacle courses. So much fun.
When I went there with my friend the second time, we bought some nerf guns and bullets in the wild west are to join a massive 'gun' fight with literally 40 odd kids. That was mental. Only 7 of us 'survived' as the park had to break it up to prevent it from getting even bigger lmao.
It really is a great themed park and everything is well considered towards the younger audience, especially when you consider that they have nowhere near the budget as Drayton manor etc. The angry birds land is a great addition to target a more 'modern' child audience aswell as the wizard of Oz and the fantasy part. The indoor play area though was one of the best parts though.
When I was also there with my mate, in the big lollipop castle, the park allowed kids to have a nerf fight for a bit as there wasn't many people up there as it was the time the cafes were serving food.
I'm well into my teens now and the park looks more or less the same, add a couple of rides like the safari and driving school, but they were really enjoyable as a youngster, especially the christmas rides and pirate ride. Been trying to remember this place for ages to recommend it to my neighbours who have been looking for such a place, so lucky this went into my reccomended.

Last time I went there was 1997 haha I remember the Christmas theme and some stories from cinderella to the wizard of oz theme so glad you enjoyed :)
I watched this video to see what the park was like and now I am on holiday their
I just wanted to add a 2024 update to this video as we actually stayed at the park last week.
The new wild acre village holiday homes are as gorgeous as the park and very reasonably priced.
The park itself was wonderful and our kids had four lovely days (with a day out for an Alton Towers visit) exploring and never got bored, between the park itself and the soft play sites dotted around that are equally as well themed. I can't recommend this place enough. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and did their utmost to make each day enjoyable.
While still very lovely the park does seem to be suffering from some wear and tear but this was only noticed by more seasoned, jaded eyes. The kids were still in awe of everything.
I've already said it but can't recommend this enough and we will definitely be returning!

So a childrens park in the UK gets better theming than most of our big parks lol. This reminds me a bit of how Blackgang Chine used to be when I was a kid.
Can’t believe I’ve never heard of this place, but looks amazing! Almost like something I’d expect to find at Efteling or Europa Park.

It's probably a coincidence that the main entrance area feels a lot like your new Planet Coaster Park. However, since Frontier is a British video game developer, it's plausible they have people who have been here and that's why they added the sleigh ride dark ride to the game.

Oh btw the octopus on the pirate ride normally sprays A LOT of water but most of the time its broken i'm pretty sure its only worked 1 or 2 of the times I went
this has changed a lot since the early 80s when my hubby used to take bus loads of pre school and infant school children for a day out ,at the time i think it was called sundown pets corner and it had a little petting farm ,always a happy for the kids .

Hi Shaun! The reason the other Christmas dark ride was closed is because a the end you meet Santa and he gives you a present. But you should definitely go! (You also meet the reindeer)

If you were wondering the Snow White building, had e seven dwarfs chairs, and you pull them back and they make sound effects for the different dwarfs! And there is lumpy jam, and toast! Also a scene with Snow White, like the other fairy tales houses! Plus I have many pictures of me at sundown, lol! 😂
