As a white man who has seen a lot in my 35 years, it sickens me that people are teaching and practicing racism as though it's principles and morals. Regardless of living in America or any where else, it's 2017 and we as human beings have accomplished so many things in our sort time here on earth. We share the same values, we go to work, we pay our bills, many practice and share in their faith, we watch sports, go to the movies, and yet one of the things we haven't done, is rid ourselves and this planet of racism.
It shouldn't take an Olympic athlete holding his fist in the air, a man giving a speech on his dream, a quarterback taking a knee, to bring awareness to what's so obvious, a stain that's in the fabric of our nation and needs to be removed. Hate is not acceptable and it shouldn't be ignored. I hope but fear that before I am gone, we will still find ourselves living in a world that harbors racism. Respect, honor, trust, and love is the best way. PEACE ✌

As a black man, I'm starting to even ask myself what do we want or expect white people to do???? Of course racism exists in American and throughout the world, but now what?. Even if white folks acknowledge that racism exists, how does that change or improve the lives of black people? It's time for us to stop expecting love and sympathy from others. We would be better off if we pretended that white people didn't exist. Let's stop letting them preoccupy our minds with their bs! Let's get our own selves together and compete like everyone else does. There are opportunities here in America for us to better our own condition whether white people or others like us or not! We must turn away from racism and focus on building up ourselves economically! It's time.

Funny how the term "institutional racism" is thrown around so liberally. Are you referring to the education institute, where blacks are put ahead of whites because of affirmative action? Or the institute of government and civil service where affirmative action is implemented in the hiring process? Or simply put, the institution, where those who break the law and abscond to criminality put themselves. It takes a village to confuse the individual. That is, until the individual chooses individuality. Nobody else is going to wake up for that alarm clock.

Unless you can get rid of all the ignorance in the world then you can never get rid of racism.

Racism isn't human nature if it was there wouldn't be anyone who wasn't racist. Do you ever see a vegetarian lion? No because that's their nature.

Why should I care anymore what you think. All you'll do is call me racist simply because of my skin color. That's the message I get. If that's not the message, then perhaps, you should look at getting your message out another way instead of a blanket statement which does more harm than good.

I think Skip missed the mark. The banner is basically saying racism is the root, the fabric of Amerikkka. This country was built on racism, literally founded on racism. It's as American as apple pie, baseball, football, the NFL and anything else Amerikkka prides itself on. They're proud of those other things, racism is just the part they choose not to acknowledge. In no way, to me, does that sign seem to imply support of racism. It looks to me like a criticism of Amerikkka and its racist roots, culture, and history.

You cannot get rid of racism. You have to improve the tolerance level of individuals. Right now this is only a "pat myself on the back" feel good movement. All this is really doing is creating more animosity in our country. Taking down Southern monuments and kneeling during the National Anthem does nothing to change the mind of anyone. What we need is Respect of others races, sexes, religions and beliefs. We dont have to agree with them but why should we have negative thoughts about it. Much less act out against someone who believes or lives differently from us. Right now everyone is under attack. Stop trying to fix a occurrence (racism) and start teaching everyone to live their own life and let others live the way they want. Racism will only stop when only one person is left alive. That seems like a drastic ending.
