This was another great reaction, and I also tried to add a intro to my video. Hope you all enjoyed. And thank you for the suggestion, pls suggest more stuff in the comments.
THANK YOU SO MUCH to those who subscribed - Zábava
"Do you want to hear a funny story?"
"Yes. No...maybe."
That is the correct response when Bo Burnham asks that question.
👍
Thank you for watching this video, once again the quality isn’t amazing
Once again, you did great! Thank you! :D
You're doing great!
I’ve heard Bo say in interviews that people used to dismiss him as “a comedian for teenage girls,” and he eventually decided he was fine with that, because teenage girls and young women were the ones who actually understood his material about anxiety and self-consciousness. This video is like… a perfect example of what he was talking about. You nailed it!
You should definitely check out his film ‘Eighth Grade’ - I feel like you’ll really connect with that one too
I think you're the perfect person to watch "Inside" I think you'll really enjoy it especially when you are along for the whole journey and not just see the songs in a vacuum.
Great reaction...I'd rather watch someone like you who just sets up a phone than someone with a whole recording setup who completely misses the point.
Glad I found this :)
Have a great day!
You did some kind of magic here. I don't know how to explain it, but you somehow reached even deeper in to the soul than Bo did. I feel like you heard it the way so many did, but we didn't know how to voice it. Many others react by saying things we think we want to hear. Your reaction says it as it is, whether we want to hear it or not. Brilliant video. Thank you.
All I can say is, don't stress about audio/video quality. You've got something here that a lot of people don't. You're very well-spoken and contemplative which makes me not mind the pausing and replaying, because you actually have something to say. This is why I watch reaction videos. The showing of genuine appreciation, surprise, and realization of deeper meaning. I can feel satisfied that not only do you get it and get moved by it, but you can explain it in such a way that it might do the same for those watching, rather than serving as plain, empty entertainment. Keep it up and do watch the whole special "Inside" on Netflix as well. As genius as Bo is in the songs alone, nothing compares to the experience and the journey he takes you on.
Yeah. It's a genuine attempt at a reaction. Audio quality's fine. Video quality's fine. Neither really matter in the long run as long as the content's good and this video in particular is pretty good.
Which is not a great place to... have them..
"That's not funny."
Thank you, no it isn't.
Subbed, well done.
You are so observant and insightful! I am delighted that bo burnham made me find your channel.
I would really love to see you do a reaction to his video called Can’t handle this (Kanye rant) from his special called Make Happy. He talks more about his mental health in there and your honest reactions are really moving. Hope you do that. Thanks
A kind, sensitive, insightful reaction, thank you so much for this, subscribing now
A lot of people think his voice is auto tuned here but it really isn’t. He pitched it down a whole step and added a lot of reverb, but the singing is authentic. It’s such a great song. Thanks for reacting! You should try his repeat stuff music video next.
The version of the vocals pitched up to his original voice shows that this is the best vocal performance of his career IMO
The absolute best reaction video I've seen thus far. Thank you for this.
I don't know why it's comforting to see someone digest this in a similar way to how I did, but it is. You've been the only one who watched this with the concern, empathy and thoughtfulness I think the performance deserved. So thank you.
Can’t handle this (Kanye Rant) is right when he took the 5 years off it’s deep also well worth the watch
Watched tons of these reactions for this song. Wasnt expecting this to be the most accurate and in depth tbh. You got a like and a sub from me.
This special left me really upset for a few days afterwards. I suffer from depression really bad and I felt like I understood Bo on a fundamental level. No matter how we try to change things for the better, and how much we try to change, factors outside our control hold us inside.
I’ve been watching reactions to Bo all day, and I’ve got more queued up, but you’re so genuine about your thoughts that I can’t skip!
The whole point of the spoken part is that he spent 5 years taking time to himself to get healthy.. then when he finally got ready.. and felt like he was good to go back out and have a life again… January 2020.. “the funniest thing happened” (the pandemic hit and forced everyone back inside..) “got it good not get inside…” it’s even more frustrating to him.. he had already spent 5 years in a depressed self quarantined solitude.. he was ready to come out! Irony..
I must say, of all the reactions to this song I've seen of "All Eyes on Me," this one had the most accurate emotional cadence to my own.
Thank you for doing that, It helped me lot to process my feelings about the song.
A few years ago Bo made a movie called ‘Eighth Grade’. You should watch it; I think he made that movie about you.
Really enjoyed this reaction! Cool take on the meaning, and I'm really impressed with the positivity in both the video and the comments!
💝💝💝💝💯🔥great reaction love it keep it up ☺🤜🤛
I love that reaction when he first looks at the camera and starts talking to you. A lot of people are surprised by that. It's oddly personal.
"We're going to go where everybody knows" kind of scares me because it's one of the most prominent and ambiguous lines in the special. This probably wasn't his intention, but one thought I had was that releasing this special will bring him to a place where everybody knows about all of the darkness lying within him. He hid from the world for 5 years, and now he's letting everyone know him again, intimately.
Yeah, the ambiguous lines really spook me as well because a good chunk of them probably have some kind of dark meaning. As for the "We're going to go where everybody knows everybody knows", it might be a reference to this: czcams.com/video/Gxd23UVID7k/video.html&ab_channel=LeonardCohenVEVO
I've always felt that the line (like a lot of the song) was relating to the online world. For much of the special Bo railed against the idea of people becoming more disconnected from real life and consumed by the digital world.
However he is forced by Covid to abandon his ideas of live audiences and to perform to a camera in his room for an online audience. The lyrics say " Look in my eye" not eyes as I believe it is referencing the camera that provides his link to the world. Similarly I think the section starting "You say the oceans rising ...." is not Bo talking to us but the voice of the online world talking to Bo.
It tells him to give in and stop caring about the world. To stop trying to change things. To disconnect and accept the inevitable. To "Come on in, the water's fine". I think the place "where everybody knows" is the online world where everyone is technically connected but guided to be distracted from the problems of the real world.
I really feel it's one of the saddest and darkest songs I've heard.
During that 5 year break Bo Burnham directed 2 comedy specials for other comedians, and wrote and directed the movie "Eighth Grade," which got a lot of critical acclaim. So it's not like he was doing nothing, he just wasn't performing live himself.
Im so glad you liked the song! its one of my favorites from his special. You interpreted it perfectly too!!
Thank you Erwin, very cool.
@@JD-jl4yy indeed 😎
This is my favorite reaction I've seen.
Great reaction and analysis!!
Bruh you got the meaning of this way better than most of the 'official' react channels. Subbed.
Excellent reaction video 👍
your so pretty ! 🤍
Love this reaction! You really got the song, I think it's good you came into it knowing it isn't really a comedy song. I also love that harmony near the end!
The sad thing is... This was not enough. Wasn't strong enough. Wasn't scary enough. The lazy, ignorant, and resigned weren't given a strong enough incentive to change their ways. The roughly four million people worldwide weren't enough of a price to cause a drastic shift in mentality. We need something stronger. Something they will feel. Something they will fear. Otherwise, Bo is right about "honey, it already did".
I've watched a ton of reactions to this specific song, yours is the first I've commented on.
Genuine reactions and insight and the hands up killed me :D
Youre very thoughtful and well-spoken. Keep doing what it is youre doing.
I dont know how anybody, after everything we all went through in 2020, goes "what?" when he says "the funniest thing happened" lol. Did you all forget going various levels of insane for a year or was that just me?
This seems like a serious question, so I will answer it. There is a sizable - small, but not insignificant - part of the population for whom laughter is a more ubiquitous reaction. It can be used for sadness, for happiness, for surprise (Julia Roberts does this to release tension causes by a startle reflex in "Pretty Woman," for example). It can come up during contentment, puzzlement, even anger. I know this because my whole family does it, to varying degrees.
The problem here is that not everyone communicates that way. But the audience, in the clip Bo chose, was laughing at... something, we don't know what. Bo puts it in that spot because that is how the audience tends to react to him regardless of the point he's trying to make. Hence the jarring moment here.
HOWEVER, some people might laugh at this moment, WITHOUT mirth. It happens. I'm this case it would likely indicate a recognition experience, a "we get what you're alluding to" moment.
I understand your frustration with people laughing in this moment - so many of them aren't really listening, they're conditioned to listen for jokes and thus miss his point - but not all of them actually missed the point.
Wonderful dissection of the song.
That is how the world works is a great one to react to as well! I’d love to see you watch that one
I've watched about every reaction to this song, and despite not having the fanciest camera, lighting, etc, your reaction was probably the most attentive and heartfelt. This reaction video thing is weird, we the viewer really want to have our feelings reflected, validated.
This song takes on a whole lot more meaning if you've seen Make Happy or are familiar with Bo's career.
Kid you're going to be a CZcams star. We love you!
One way to look at the meaning of this is also in the context of the other similar songs he did. "Art is Dead" is the first one from when he was briefly on TV that deals very directly with how he feels about being a center of attention (spoilers: not great) and "Can't Handle This (Kanye Rant)" was the last thing he did before he took his break; this one can be considered a sequel to it since it's describing the break he took from the other end.
You earned a sub! Everyone else whiffed right pass the message
Goosebumps
I will say, this is my first reaction I've seen from you. And you did an amazing one. Immediate subscribe. Keep up the amazing work, bruh!!!
"Inside" is where "everybody knows everybody" as we can all relate to the isolation caused by the pandemic. We are all "inside" so we can all relate on that level. Also, being stuck inside our homes gives every person an insight into how mental health issues can be so isolating. Now "everybody knows everybody" because we've all been through this together.
Not in Sweden
Perhaps the only time I'm glad that I can't relate
You seem like you have a beautiful soul
Kid, you’re beautiful. I love hearing your reaction. I’m sixty six but I really appreciate your thoughtfulness and tenderness.
Thank you so much

@@jonahclark859 Here’s an idea: Let’s shame every sane and supportive adult who tries to connect with children into backing off. That way, the only adults kids will ever have a chance to interact with are creeps and predators.
A long, long, long time ago, when I was a child, I lived in a world where I was surrounded by many different sources of guidance and wonder provided by trustworthy adults who expected to be trusted.
Lucky me!
Folks like you are working hard to make it hard for folks like me to pass that guidance and wonder on to the younger generation.
Keep expecting the worst out of everyone. You’re certain to find it!
@@paultheaudaciousbradford6772 sorry that my natural reaction to 66 year old men telling young girls they are “beautiful” and “tender” is to be creeped out
@@jonahclark859 I’m sure you went from zero to utterly creeped out in less than a second. Of course, your creepy feelings say everything about you and nothing about me.
On the other hand, Zodiac’s being “beautiful” and “thoughtful” and “tender” is all about HER. My being 66 or 16 or 166 is utterly irrelevant because, hmmm, it isn’t about me - but, strangely, you managed to make it about yourself and your creeped out feelings.
Which, apparently, are more important to you than any positive attributes Zodiac might have.
Great video. No need to stress equipment quality.
January was just before the virus, and all the restrictions, hit America. He built himself back up after his panic attacks only to be unable to perform. His "Art is Dead" song, I think, shows he has a showmanship side and a need for attention that he's a bit ashamed of. I think a lot of the slow decline of mental health he shows in Inside could be attributed to that (and, of course, how isolation and self-reflection can be harmful in large doses).
Also I really feel the line "you say the ocean's rising, like I give a shit. you say the whole world's ending, honey it already did". For a lot of people, myself included, we've got bigger problems going on in our lives than the world ending. It's hard to see the bigger picture, the state of the entire world, when your own life is constantly falling apart. I want to care about the environment and I'm for climate change awareness like anyone else with common sense, but truth be told, if the whole world ended tonight? I wouldn't give a fuck.
I have this song on loop lately. Inside is Bo Burnham's masterpiece. I wasn't even a fan before that, but he's grown on me.
It's not just weird and showy, there's a lot of honesty in it. That's what makes it so good. I mean by the end of it, it's not even funny anymore, it's strange and off-putting and that actually kind of just makes it better.
Orale chica..let's do this..love reaction clips...
I think now you’re obligated to watch “how the world works”
Wow, you get it right! Look his other songs like "art is dead" or "can't handle this", I think you will enjoy by them. (Sry for my bad English btw)
you should watch That Funny Feeling by Bo is beautiful
Please recommend more stuff you want me to see, it can be anything ❤️
Really just about all Bo Burnham is great. He puts so much into everything he does. If you are looking for that, I would recommend his "can't handle this" song. czcams.com/video/rYy0o-J0x20/video.html
If you are looking for other stuff is it music? Songs you haven't heard? Or other things? There is a lot out there, as Bo's welcome to the internet illustrated.
@@endyman anything really, music
@@zodiack2021 If I were you, you are getting a great response to reacting to Bo so I'd do that for a couple weeks, then you have to know your audience a bit. My guess is reactions to great rock songs might work, but I like great rock songs so I am probably biased. If you like Rock people will watch it. If not then you have to find another thing.
@@zodiack2021 But I can pick 5 songs that seem successful for creators and that I like seeing reactions to, if that helps at all. Righteous Brothers Unchained Melody. ACDC Back in black. Led Zeppelin stairway to heaven. Tom Jones I'll never fall in love again. Dolly Parton Jolene.
Oh, 1 more request of Bo’s. It’s called rant. He has a video of it on his own CZcams channel. It’s another one similar to “gods perspective” but it’s rap. Very dense and fast so if you do it be ready for your mind to be blown!
I always find it funny when people hear him say that he decided to come back in January of 2020, and then still ask "What happened?" Is it really that forgettable?
Right? How is that a common reaction to that line?
January is the first forgettable month.
@@ThrillhoWiggum I feel like you're one of the people who would have asked; "what happened?" It's not about the month, it's about the year.
@@genostellar You're actually incorrect on that. I understood the "joke" when I first watched it. I say joke for lack of a better term.
@@ThrillhoWiggum Well, your reply there seemed like it missed the point. Glad that you understand.
We're goin' to go where everybody knows'' could mean 'We are all going to die some day''
When you're reviewing other people's vids, you gotta put main emphasis on getting the source audio high fidelity. It literally the most important thing
I hate socks.
Ugh....wish you got it the 1st time
Why are the comments not turn off?
12:40 ??? ... 🙆🏻♀️ ... ?
He said put your hands up lol 😂 I listened
If you create an Amazon list my girlfriend and I want to buy you a phone tripod.👍
Bo is good, but you start from wrong side. You need watch his early content first. You can't skip 14 years of evolution and react to new shit without context.
He gives PLENTY of context. In fact, his ability to connect to someone so deeply with just ONE song is pretty incredible.
